My Style: Spring Trending with Eloquii for People StyleWatch

Sharing is caring!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of being interviewed for People Magazine talking about trends and the ones I loved with eloquii. Now, if you are new to my blog, then you should know that eloquii and I have a long relationship.

I loved them when they launched, called them out for their opening of stores without sharing, fashioned an open letter to eloquii, announced their rebranding, and sooo much more. Basically, I care about this brand, as its success at the time meant so much more to the community then just another place to shop.

SO, when they asked if I wanted to be interviewed, naturally I was hyped. ESPECIALLY as it was for People Style Watch online!

Talking trends, embracing the new, staring them in the face, I shared a few reasons why I chose each of those looks, how they made me feel and today I wanted to break down each look for your review, as a few of you had asked me about each dress and shoes, and more!

Look 1: Floral Print Scuba Dress

I could see myself in this a few times… but because of the hemline, this is definitely more for play than for work! But I do dig this one! I paired this dress with my BCBG coral trimmed and see through pumps as a neutral… to ground the dress!

Look 2: Classic Seamed Sheath Dress

I chose this dress solely on the neckline. I haven’t seen anything like this! Loved this stair step neckline, playing up the attention to the girls, which I do not mind at all. The length, color, and fit allow this dress to seamlessly go from day to night! Versatile and timeless? It has a home in my closet. Paired with my Sam Edelman cork heels from season’s past, I am ready for spring here!

Look 3: Mixed Stripe Dress

My favorite dress hands down. I can see this living for eternity in my life. LOL. The way the lines play on the curvature of my waist and thighs, heyyyyyyy boo! Add to my ever loving fascination with the black and white spring trend? I am here for all of this! I wanted to see how gold would sit with this, so it was paired with my Shoedazzle heels, for a playful day look… Not sure if I love it, but at least I have another way to go here!

Look 4: Studio Abstract Print Fit & Flare Dress

This look may be familiar as I rocked out with this for the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon! They liked this look too and wanted me to share it as well! I was pleasantly surprised with this cut and fabrication, as this dress was my first introduction to the brand since its launch, and I bought it, expedited shipping, JUST so I could report back to you (and of course have a fit for my event!!!)! I paired these heels from Shoedazzle to the mix and this is what I got!

And there you have it!

A breakdown of my looks from Eloquii in People Stylewatch! You can check out the interview and feature HERE!

While you are there, make sure you check out the UBER sweet and cool Alison Teng from Curvy Girl Chic who JUST landed a column over there!!! (Congrats Allison!)

What do you think of the looks? Which one is your favorite? Did you read the interview? Let’s chat!
