What Does a Plus Size Girl Wear to Date Night?

What does a plus size girl wear to date night?

Whatever the heck she wants!

Hey there, Bonnie HERE and I must say, I am so tired of the do’s and don’ts of dating. I am single now and after a bad divorce and a bad break up, I am back in the dating game! And let me tell you, there are a few good men out there and I am searching. I have high standards and I am not giving them up for anyone. I am a great girl and if you are single so are you. Don’t settle for anything less than your great guy (or girl). When you go out, don’t fuss over what you are going to wear or look like. You are gorgeous and choosing pieces that tuck in what you want to hide and perfectly display the good, without showing too much and maintaining your dignity is just what you need to order.

Date Night

Thank God for the invention of the nude pump. The nude pump does two things. It elongates your legs (get a color that is close to your skin tone but not so close they disappear) and it gives you an alternative to white or whatever other hue that is hard to match to. I also love the bandage dress for us plus size girls because it makes us look sleek and put together. I chose a great purple because it is a color that looks great on everyone. Accessories ALWAYS make the look. I love charm bracelets and clutches because you should not meet your date carrying a diaper bag. But in this case, less is more.

Last but not least a great dress that makes you feel like a movie star. I see a lot of plus size women staying away from dresses (including myself) and I think you should go for it. Show of your legs, your neckline, your shoulders, your great cleavage, but do not show them all off at the same time. You are a lady and a lady leaves SOMETHING to the imagination.

Since my divorce, I have had a few dates. Many were bad apples, but what I remember most about those bad dates is what I wore. Yes, sounds random, but at least I remembered one good thing and this is the great ensemble I had the guts to wear and never regretted.

OOH! Let me not forget to tell you that great dress you see here is the Calvin Klein Plus Size Dress Bandage Sheath $120 at www.Macys.com

My date rule is if it is the first couple of dates to dress simply not provocative, do my best to keep the girls covered. I try to look good but not make all his attention focus on my breasts.

I don’t have a nude pump. I wear a size 10 and I feel like it would make them look like a size 20! But I love this look, very classy. Sexy yet not slutty, that’s my motto.

I agree with your motto, “Sexy yet not slutty”. Too many women show too much! Leave nothing to the imagination!

I wear something that I feel comfortable wearing (that does not mean frumpy). Usually, it’s a nice pair of pants/jeans, a nice top, and heels. Rocking accessories are a must. I think if you are confident and comfortable, you feel sexy! My husband loves it! I am a modest dresser. I believe in wearing fitted but tight to me is a turn off. It’s one thing to show some skin (in a classy way) and another putting it ALL on display for the world! I usually only wear skirts or dresses on our dates if we are going somewhere more high end. Our dates can be anything from dinner/movies to dinner/pedicures (I have a cool husband…he loves being pampered).
