You Oughta Know: Baacal By Cynthia Vincent

BAACAL, named after late actress Lauren Bacall, is a designer-led, high-end clothing brand for people who wear sizes 10-22. Designed by fashion industry veteran Cynthia Vincent, BAACAL is the perfect combo of luxury, style, and sustainability.

Vincent, has taken classic styles and revamped them for the modern, stylish woman. You know, those pieces that you’ll reach for every time you want to make a statement, for years to come!

It was incredibly difficult to find high quality investment pieces beyond a size 12. Knowing that the average American woman is a size 16, I wanted to create a brand for women like me, the true majority.

Sustainably Minded Plus Size Fashion

Created for the modern plus size fashion enthusiast, BAACAL is a modern luxury brand that cares about its eco-footprint. 80% of the brand’s limited-run collections are made in Los Angeles, using upcycled, vintage, and existing materials – everything from the fabric to the buttons and trim.

Inclusivity and sustainability are issues and values that are close to Vincent’s heart.

That alone is a reason to support this brand, but now we are especially pumped because Cynthia Vincent just announced that Yvette Nicole Brown is the new face of BAACAL!
