It’s officially Pride month! Before your timelines get totally flooded with rainbows, it seemed like a good time to let you know that one of the country’s oldest and biggest plus size retailers, Lane Bryant, has released a Pride Collection.
Representation in the LGBTQ community can tend to skew on the smaller side. This has made inclusive queer fashion hard to find for larger bodied folks. With sizing up to a 28 and pieces that could work for both femme and more masculine-leaning babes, this collection is a game changer in the realm of fashion.
Lane Bryant’s Pride Collection
The limited edition collection is part of the brand’s Fast Lane capsule series. It includes of a mix of rainbow-clad swimwear, intimates and sleepwear. Items launched at the end of May and are available mostly online. They can be found in a select few stores across the country as well.
From sheer mesh tops and triangle bikini tops to rainbow graphic tees and cheeky panties, this collection is both playful and sexy at the same time!
Shopping this collection doesn’t just give you an opportunity to wear your pride but it also helps a good cause! 10 percent of every purchase from the collection is being donated to GLSEN, a non-profit designed to create safe and affirming schools for students regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression.
Even cooler? Lane Bryant was donating 10% of purchases through June 16 or until they reached $20,00 and they announced via social media that they reached that goal on June 1!
I had the opportunity to try out a few Pride pieces for my blog and I have to say that I found the collection to be well made, comfortable and fit true to size. I remember spending hours leading up to Pride… having to create my own looks because I didn’t know where to find rainbow items in my size.
Although DIY is still a totally fine option, I’m glad it’s not the only one!
Don’t forget that everything is limited edition so when it sells out, it won’t be restocked. If you’re looking for comfortable items to wear around the house, this collection is for you!
