You have to admit it… sometimes, being stuck at home may make you a little stir crazy. And with the various “Stay at Home” or “Safer at Home” precautions, what can we do to add a little joy to your lives? For some, shopping or retail therapy may be it.

But what to buy?

Are you wanting to try a new skincare routine? Stocking up on your loungewear or leisurewear options? Pining for new socks, bralettes, or home décor? What about a few professional plus size tops for that upcoming Zoom meeting?

Well, we are here to help! We asked a few plus size influencers what they are shopping for, especially now!

These Plus Size Influencers Share What They Are Currently Shopping For

I’ve definitely been on a loungewear kick lately, as I quickly realized that most of my wardrobe was not conducive to long days at home.

Some of my favorite new pieces are by Saturday/Sunday, Anthropologie’s super soft loungewear line, and LIVI, Lane Bryant’s activewear line that also makes some excellent athleisure pieces, like the tie dye joggers I like so much I bought in both colors.

I’ve also been shopping the major sales that are happening now to get pieces for dreamy future looks, like a faux leather double-breasted blazer that I just got for fall.

I am currently shopping swimwear and athletic wear.

I am shopping for swim with brands like Lane Bryant, Torrid, ASOS, CurvyFox and SHEIN.

Currently obsessed with Fabletics so I am getting most of my athletic wear from them.

I miss seeing people. Don’t get me wrong, I love spending time with my husband and our pups, but typically I don’t go weeks (months? what day is it?) without seeing other people. Well, if you’re like me and could use seeing a fresh friendly face (or several) join @fatbabesofjerseycity tonight for our fancy dress party at 9pm on zoom! I’m looking forward to getting all fancy schmancy, but there’s no obligation to get dressed up. All bodies welcome and you can thankfully be in any location to join! Link shared in my stories and on @fatbabesofjerseycity IG – sign up ASAP and come party with me, @miaomalley @msgigggles & other fabulous people! 🎉 #zoomparty #zoom2k #jerseycity #zoomhappyhour #virtualparty #virtualhappyhour #xoq #fatisnotabadword #bodypositivity #bodypositive #bodyacceptance #bodyconfidencemovement #quarantinelife

So, I originally decided I wasn’t going to do any shopping…but then I realized I “needed” a few things from Eloquii and H&M.

I am looking forward to sitting in my backyard in one of the cotton H&M dresses…eventually.

If I were to purchase anything else it would be athleisure, something soft and stretchy. I’ve been WFH for years, so half my wardrobe is comfy clothes.

I’ve been living in my Evelyn & Bobbie wire free bra. It’s incredibly comfortable and supportive, it’s hard to imagine ever wearing an underwire again!

One of the things I’m checking, as I buy in the future, is how a brand treats their employees during the pandemic. I don’t want to support a brand that didn’t support their employees.

Right I’m looking for comfort pieces and makeup. I don’t usually have cute pjs (opting for the old t-shirt method) but being at home so often I chose to invest in some cute pjs from loft and pieces I can pair with anything like Foundations from Universal Standard.

I want to still make an effort- even if it only for zoom.

Also, I’ve never been a huge make up person. Often choosing quick easy basic products to make sure my shoots look good. But having so much down time, I have started investing in eye shadow palettes to experiment with colors and fun!

I now have all the time to BLEND LIKE THE GODS and YouTube/Tiktok has an abundance of tips to make sure I look good.

I’ve found myself shopping for the most comfortable loungewear. It’s perfect for the current social distancing situation.

I’ve also taken advantage of some sales to stock up on bras from Lane Bryant.

My final splurge was a pair of retro looking sneakers from Sketchers, they’re so cute!

Alysse of Ready to Stare

I am finding myself shopping for things that bring my joy. Although Pride has gone virtual, I am still on the hunt for cute rainbow pieces to wear to celebrate form home.

I love the new Rainbow collection from ELOQUII. I have also been shopping for swimwear.

Although I don’t know when it will be safe to go to the beach or public pool, I definitely plan on lounging in the backyard and soaking in a blow-up pool.

I grabbed a rainbow swimsuit from ModCloth and a Chromat suit from 11 Honore that I’ve been eyeing forever.  I also grabbed a few suits for the cheap from Boohoo!
