Have you been tuning in to our FB Live Series, Speaking of Curves! All about showing support and love to various plus size businesses, we are on a roll! Today’s latest guest is a dear friend and plus size model who we know as The Naomi of Plus, yes! Miss Liris Crosse!
And guess what? We NOW have a fun sponsor for a few of our lives! We’ve partnered with Fiverr in celebration of and for our small businesses. Their new program, The Shift, is a microgrant giveaway, as they are hooking up three small businesses each month with $1000 in credits to Fiverr!
Talk about supporting and helping small businesses, right? As we are supporting the various small businesses with our Speaking of Curves series, this was the perfect partnership for us to align ourselves with!
So, listen. Our Speaking of Curves series has been on a roll! We’ve interviewed Timothy Snell, See Rose Go, Secondhand Curves, Chante Burkett, Honey’s Child Boutique, Chic & Curvy, Christian Omeshun, Haute & Co Bridal, and Z by Zevarra! Among quite a few others!
This series is all about how we can support the various businesses in the plus size fashion space! And with this, we are soooo excited to bring another small business owner, that you can support.
If you missed the interview live, with Liris Crosse, you can watch it below!
Speaking of Curves Presented by Fiverr with Plus Size Model Liris Crosse
Liris is NOT playing.
Model. Author. Coach. Motivational Speaker. Businesswoman. Homegirl is building her empire, one passion at a time! Liris stays giving back and sharing gems! She has even shared a few plus size model tips on here!
And did you catch the details about her initiative, @modelsforchangenow! Right now, Liris is on a mission to bring awareness and attention to life as a Black plus size model and ways that the fashion industry falls short here.
From Facebook, Models for Change Now is:
Models For Change Now is a black-led collective of models and fashion industry professionals who have come together to demand that systemic racism in fashion be addressed immediately.
To kick off this campaign, there is a social media campaign, #MyBlackModelLife on Facebook and Instagram, to share and amplify the stories and experiences various Black models have had.
But did you also catch that Liris has a book and a bootcamp!?!
YES.
Liris’s book, “Make the World Your Runway “ shares her secrets for everyday confidence and success, after completing season 16 of Project Runway and winning the model’s competition! (Did you know that?)
And then, if you thought she was done there, Liris Crosse also has a model bootcamp, “Life of a Working Model Bootcamp.”
In this bootcamp series, you can learn from a top working model with over a decade of experience. Through her bootcamp series, you can learn the shortcuts from Liris, so you don’t “waste any more time with dead end moves.”

Are you intrigued?!
We will continue this series as there are quite a few businesses and brands that you can support and shop.
Make sure you also follow her, on IG at @LirisC and @modelsforchangenow!
In the plus size fashion space, indie business owners are the backbone of our community. These brands, designers, and businesses challenge status quo and push the envelope. We are all feeling the shift and many of these businesses are pivoting to stay afloat.
And now?
It is even MORE important to support those small and indie businesses, to make sure that they make it through this!
You can catch Speaking of Curves LIVE on our FB page, Tuesdays and Thursdays, at 12pm EST.
