Now. If you have been a fan of Gap and have wanted to sashay your curves into their apparel, you may be in for some great news. Gap has JUST extended their collection to go up to sizes 20 and XXL in all of their clothing online!

Before, certain items went up to an 18/20 and it was extremely limited.

 GAP Includes Extended Sizes

Now, there are more options! No, there is not a full inclusion, but baby steps right? Hopefully, with the success of this new inclusion, they will carry a full traditional plus size range! Once they carry at least up to a 3X and up to a 24, this will be grand!

I worked at Gap Outlet, where we already had sizes up to 20 and XXL, so I’ll admit that I’m a little disappointed but at a size 26/28 this isn’t a new feeling for me. Happy for the women who can now shop there, but I hope Gap continues to push their size options.

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!! *faints*

This is NOT good for my wallet, b/c Gap is my staple store…but there have been several times where I found something that would have been perfect if it just went up to a XXL. I’m SO excited!

I’d consider them, but the words “exclusively online” make me extremely angry. I prefer to try on clothes *before* I pay for them.

    Hi Marie,
I’m sorry but I can’t share in your enthusiasm. I’ll be excited when the larger sizes are available at the store. This “baby step” is yet another way of telling fat women, “Yes, we’ll allow you to buy our clothes but do so in the privacy of your own home.” To me, this is another slap in the face. If Gap wants my business, then they’d better have the larger sizes at the store where me and other fat women can come into the store and try them on. I’m just sayin’.

I totally hear you on this. I completely understand your position… For me, especially being cup half full, I try to bring attention to this, because on the other side, the corporate side, they play this funny and sometimes unfair game of numbers… and for anything to move beyond or forward, they “test” it out… I DO share and my excitement is real, because there are some who straddle and need options too…

It is a frustrating double edged sword here… and I feel the same way about its message of what you just shared… THANK you for sharing your thoughts!!! I truly appreciate it!

Gap Inc (Old Navy and Banana) tried the plus range in-store with Old Navy. It didnt sell in the stores and was later pulled and is now exclusively sold online. Im starting to believe there are more women that are comfortable with purchasing online than us that like to have instant gratification in-store.

Gahhh, when will the day come that there is plus size combined with tall size. Not all plus sized divas are pint sized as well.

      I agree with Cattron^^^
I have broad shoulders & always have a problem finding jackets/coats & even some shirts that fit across my shoulders & reach my wrists without pulling too much or being tight. And pants are usually too short.
