Tis the season for plus size swim. A topic that I have featured various designers who have given us some FIRE and HOT bathing suits! I have written about this before, featured a few hot ones on Styleblazer, but today, we wanted to share with you over 40 (actually 50!) hot bathing suits, with various price points, trends, designers, and cuts!
Are you fancying a bikini? A sassier one piece? Support for the girls? Bold and edgy?
We got you!
As we make your way through the roundup, make sure you keep reading as we answer a few questions I have received from a few of you!

Options
There are various options to shop from. Online or in-store. Specialty or plus size brands, we have options! No longer are you subjected to only minimizing, “slimming,” black, and dull bathing suits.
On trend for summer and resort, you will and can find bikinis, sexy one-pieces, retro-inspired pieces, and sassy plus size cover-ups (did you catch that post?).
Plus Size Blogs and websites like this one and others are here to help you navigate through it all!
Support
With quite a few European brands entering the US market, we are seeing more and more bathing suit tops given to us in cup size. Hurrah! If not, we now have plus size swim bras to help lift and support the girls-EVEN BETTER!
So, if you are dying to rock that bikini top but NEED more support, you can still rock those options, just layer up on the support!
Not familiar with a swim bra? Check out this post on the Plus Size Swim Bra, which made me happy!
Price
Bathing suits prices will vary, but most hover around the $100 range. I know some of you may cringe at that while others won’t even blink.
For me, when it comes to bathing suits, I am going to invest a little more, because I do not want to have to feel like I have to buy a new suit each year.
A great suit, built with the right hardware, fabrication, and fit will most likely run you around this price, and I will take that.
WHY?
- I do not want the digging of the halter in my neck.
- I do not want to have to worry about my suit fading OR shrinking of the suit
- I do not want my bathing suit falling apart in the wash (true story)
- I WANT the support, boning, color, and style to last me longer than a season!
Brands
There are quite a few plus size and mainstream brands that cater to the plus size woman- wooohoo!
Asides from my plus size designer list, there are quite a few brands that are making it twerk in the plus size swim arena!
And to help you out, have a looksee at our roundup!
I hope this roundup helps you through your search for fabulous plus size swim!

I totally agree that it’s worth paying for a good swimsuit. You cannot underestimate the value of good support
I get the part about paying more for better support but I would never go anywhere near $100 just for a bathing suit. That would have to be some pretty amazing suit that could make me fly or something, haha. I found an amazing one with great support that I adore for like $30 at Forever 21. I was skeptical about the support half at first but when I tried it on, perfect. And the fact that suits fade and fall apart after a season I kind of think is the point… who wants to wear the same suit season after season???
I guess it depends on how much you swim. I worked at a summer camp for a number of years, and we swam EVERY.DAY. At some point, I bought a great retro style one that looked/felt amazing, got lots of compliments on it, and I was happy to wear it more than one summer…that one did cost me somewhere around $100 (which is amazing in and of itself, because there was a time where I wouldn’t consider one over $20 because I just wanted it to be functional!)
I want to click through this slideshow, but why on earth do I need to wait for the whole page to load to get to the next slide? Can I just see them on one page if the slideshow cannot work?
I’m sorry it’s irritating you… I wanted to make sure that the links were there for you and the layout, this was the only way? I’ll see what else there is, to make it the best option, but at ten moment, this is all I have! 🙁
Thank you. There must be a way to see them all at once and then clickon th ones we want to see, or to scroll through each one after the other. Otherwise, it would take us 50 minutes for each swimsuit to load. Besides this, you are doing a wonderful job!
Can you tell me about your experience with Nakimuli? I placed an order based on your sharing of info…items looked great. The items are pricey…but I thought I would have a YOLO moment… I placed order on May 23 using Paypal and have not heard a WORD from them. I emailed their customer service…no response. Was your service experience good?
Ohhh nooo!
In terms of buying swimwear, price must not be the priority factor but how the swimwear can secure your body. I actually bought my swimwear at http://www.swimweargalore.com.au/. It is great.
Its amazing how this is supposed to be plus size yet so many of these have the entire linked site only going up to size 40. If its for PLUS size bikinis they need to include plus size options.
I couldn’t get through it…To much with the page reloading and all….
We are working on changing this… I do apologize for that.
I like this list, it is very smooth & comfortable size!
Wooooow. So nice!!!But I like the Polka Dot Swimsuit

How do I purchase a swimsuit from here?
This is an older post, so most of these are not available!
It said that the page couldn’t be found?! I wanted the two piece Serengeti on the second page.
I’m small but I’m a 34D and I have a big butt and I feel like it’s hopeless. I’ve been searching for months for a swimsuit that’s cute and supports and it’s making me mad. I found one I liked before, but the payment didn’t work out. And I found one here and now it won’t show up. I should give up and swear granny stuff. This is futile.
not sure if you noticed but this post is old, so some of the swimsuits are goign to be sold out, no longer for sale, or around! this post is almost two years old? I will be doing newer posts! Make sure you subscribe to get the latest news madame!
