Please pardon my long-windedness.

This yearโ€™s 2010 Full Figured Fashion Week undoubtedly was a hit. Four fashion-filled days of fashion for the Curvy Fashionistas, you know I was in heaven. Was I overwhelmed? Tired? Elated? Busy? Yes, yes, yes, and YES! I was not going to let my three hour jet lag slow me down! Well, maybe a little, but you get my drift! Early mornings and late nights were just what the doctored ordered for the most anticipated fashion frenzy for the Full Figured and Fabulous!

I arrived Tuesday night, via Virgin Airlines (which everyone must have the pleasure of flying!) Seats are quite roomy, ample leg space, and internet connection on the plane= heaven!ย  Checking into the Staybridge Suites, meeting up with my hotel mates and Bay Area family- LaToya Skinner of Chan.nel Karama, I KNEW the week was going to be a blast! AND I was not disappointed!

The Full Recap of the 2010 FFFWeek!ย

The first night of the festivities, the Opening Showcase, kicked off with the opening fashion show at BLVD was so much fun! With a standing room only crowd, the creme de la creme of plus size fashion stepped out and showed out in expected fashion! From Blogger to designer to editor, Full Figured Fashion Week with lead sponsor Sonsi, the nightโ€™s energy only set the stage and scene for the fabulosity of what was to be expected throughout the week!

With Sonsi-tini in one hand and camera in the other, the show kicked off with oohs and ahhs!ย  Smiles throughout the room- I wanted this feeling to last all week! The level of excitement could really not be quantified, as compared to last year, the energy was times ten hundred! Lol

After the long night, we got back up and did it all again, with the Full Figured and Fabulou Runway Competitionโ€“ new to Full Figured Fashion Week and a hit it was! With women from across the US competing for a chance to rock the crown and sash, competition was stiff!ย  Treated by and intermission treat, the Glamazons sang tunes celebrating our beauty and our curves! And yes, STANDING ROOM ONLY! Click on the link above for the entire recap!

The next day, jet lag caught up with me, as I was late to the first round of panels! Missing the Business of Plus Size panel made me soo sad- but girlfriend was beat! (Catch the recap from The Curvy Coach), however, the remaining two panels were sprinkled with notable plus size pioneers and leaders both moderated by the sassy and fierce Sharon Quinn! With every seat taken in both panel discussions and people standing along the wall, every person in the room was captivated, engaged, and attentive!ย  It was so beautiful to see! Notes were taken, people stood up to ask questions, and laughs were shared across the room!

Panel Discussions at Full Figured Fashion Week 2010

With the night open, this left to much needed rest! I was satiated with smiles and energy through the past two dayโ€™s events! Saturday was a big day! Starting at 8:30 am (YES, in the morning) ladies met up with me at our meeting point!ย  The Shopping Excursion was SO-MUCH-FUN! From Off Broadway boutique to Re-Dress to Monif C. we shopped till our hearts content in our own special executive coach bus!

Running late, naturally we headed back to our rooms to get primped and pretty for the FINALE!

The Shopping Excursion at Full Figured Fashion Week 2010

The Finale was breathtaking, as there was something shown for everyone! From classic work wear to wedding gowns; edgy resort wear to red carpet ready wear; this finale fashion show was fly! I was beaming the entire show through- even if something was NOT my style, the response from the crowd was electrifying!

(My camera died mid show, but I have Richard Lew to thank you amazing pictures!)

Please visit The Curvy Fashionista on Facebook to catch all pictures!

Now although it took me a week to catch up and rest, I had a pleasure meeting sooo many Twitter friends, Facebook peeps and fans! It was truly a blast! AND I would do it all again! Jet LAG and ALL!

I cannot wait to do againโ€ฆ
