FFFWeek 2012 Indie Designer Showcase: SK Wilbur

Modern. Ladylike. Chic.

Rewind a year back, and I remember meeting this man in the hotel room of mines during a NY trip. Mr. Wilbur had wanted to make sure we met, and happily I obliged. I am so happy I did. Wilbur’s passion, drive, and humility has allowed him to transform his dream into a reality with Sorta Kinda Enterprise- also known as- SK Wilbur.

His quirky, playful, sophisticated collection (yes one can be both sophisticated and quirky) initially launched in 1998 with the vision of delivering a collection that was BOLD, CLASSIC, and MODERN. while providing CURVY women who are young in spirit with stylish, inventive options for day to evening dressing.

For Full Figured Fashion Week, the SK Wilbur collection signifies a nod to the more polished and elegant plus size woman, a line of transitional dresses appropriate for day or evening. Tailored and feminine dresses come in soft and luxurious cottons, silks, and wools. The fall line showcased ready to wear separates from tops, skirts, pants, and coats.

Take a look at some of the standouts from the collection:
