We’re giving you a taste of what you’ll be seeing in the streets when the Fall weather finally arrives. Yes, I know what the calendar says but in many places it’s still pretty toasty. I’m ready for some layers and cool-weather staples but we are at the mercy of Mother Nature.
One of the places that we know will have our backs with plus size pieces that may be more substantial for Fall but still hella sexy is Fashion to Figure. We’ve got just a few of their new arrivals so you can state putting together those super cute outfits for the football games, corn mazes (does anyone actually go to those?), and haunted houses that are in our very near future!
Fashion to Figure Fall Arrivals
Meghan Off Shoulder Belted Peplum Top
Ever since I found a strapless bra that will hold these G-cup girls at attention I’ve been all about the extreme cold-shoulder and off-shoulder styles. Face it, a woman’s shoulders are some of the most alluring body parts that you can show without getting too spicy. So i’m all for it, in the right settings. I’m trying to find a date so I can whip this number out on date night.
Yvonne Snake Print Sweater and Pencil Skirt
As we know, snake print is everywhere for Fall. Fashion to Figure is giving us a different take with this Fall-ready mustard color. I love the contrast in the silhouettes of these separates with the close-fitting, sexy pencil skirt and the looser, boxy fit of the sweater. It’s giving me a sweet versus sexy juxtaposition, made sweeter with cute ballet flats or sexier with towering stilettos.
Laila Long Leopard Cardigan Sweater
Come on, you know I can’t go a day without my leopard print. This cardigan combines so many of my favorite things, including a long cardigan, leopard print and pockets! Pair this versatile layer with a black sheath dress for work or jeans and a tee or tank for a outing with friends. Or by your da** self! You’ll certainly be turning heads when this cougar, I mean leopard, slinks into the room.
Viola Two-Tone Sweater Dress
Y’all. The Viola sweater dress makes me want to go buy all types of shapewear because I want to look like her in it. Not going to happen but I can bring my own brand of sexy, or something, to it. I’m having all sorts of visions of the alternate reality where I would have the nerve to wear this. But, until I get there, I might just have to grab this dress and play dress up at the house.
Phoenix Mesh Blouse
If you know me, you know that I’m a quiet introvert, but there’s a little bit of drama queen inside me and this top plays to that lady. I love a good lace top and I love how this one is paired with jeans for a casual but dramatic outfit that goes from dinner to a show. Pair it with a black pencil skirt for a cocktail party or a crepe wide-leg pant for an even more formal affair.
Adelaide Peplum Bodycon Dress
Such a great color for many skin tones and a great canvas for a statement necklace. The Adelaide dress’ peplum is great for creating a waist and hips for a more straight figure and for covering a midsection that you might be self-conscious about. I guess I’ll be breaking that out that strapless bra again, not that it had gone far anyway. Pair the dress with a pair of the sneakers that are everywhere right now for a more weekend brunch look.
Renee Faux-Leather Hi-Lo Skirt
Hi-lo is still around and faux-leather is back in a big way! We’re seeing full dresses and jumpsuits in the edgy fabrication, along with the moto jackets and skinny pants that were a staple in years past. This hi-lo skirt is perfect for Fall events. I’m thinking Thanksgiving dinner, drop some gravy on it and it just wipes right off! I’m being silly but you get the gist, a great skirt for work and beyond.
Mika Denim Button-Up Maxi Dress
Stretch denim, especially a heavier weight stretch denim, can actually be quite forgiving. Especially if you resist the urge to go skin-tight like your favorite skinny jeans. A dress like the Mika dress that is made in the hourglass shape can, once again, create curves that may not actually be there. I love the length of this dress because I know, being 5’3″, that it will be a true maxi on me as opposed to ankle-baring long midi that it is on the, no doubt, statuesque model. And this is another great tennis shoes to pumps piece that goes anywhere you’re going.
Amy Mustard Sherpa Coat
We’re going end on a high note with a real statement piece. The Sherpa coat, also known as the teddy bear coat, for obvious reasons, is back with a vengeance as well. I’ve already seen at least 3 iterations of this coat on different sites in winter white, pink and blue and it’s not even Winter yet. Fashion to Figure brings it in mustard like many of the other pieces in this early Fall collection. This is not the coat for you if you’re worried about adding bulk but, let’s face it, I’m fluffy so why shouldn’t my coat be too? This is a cool, edgy statement style that is not for the faint of heart and my inner drama queen is clamoring for it!
