A few months back, we shared our curiosity around Dolce & Gabbana dipping its toe into extended sizes. Well, it seems that they are putting a little more weight behind this move, as Dolce Gabbana launches their options at 11 Honoré.
Their entrance into extended sizing (read: not a full plus size line) raises a few eyebrows, especially with their past controversies. However, we are excitedly watching their steps as Dolce & Gabbana partners with 11 Honoré.
What we can expect with Dolce & Gabbana at 11 Honoré:
“Exuberant color and no-holds-barred opulence meet serious Italian craftsmanship in this world-famous luxury label, founded by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana in 1985.
Expect vibrant prints, maximalist embellishments and an unabashed reverence for the inherent sex appeal of the female form.”
11 Honoré has been on a mission to make high end and luxury plus size fashion more accessible. Through exclusive capsule collections or collaborations, we are seeing more centralized availability in designer fashion than we have had access to in a while.
For this launch, the collection was shot in Paris and features the ever-divine plus size model, Precious Lee. Shot in both the jacquard suiting and the leopard print shift dress, Precious Lee is serving.
While the collection barely tops a 20, we are curious to see how this size range will extend well into plus sizes. One thing we do know, is that the retailer is on a mission to help them confidently add a full plus size range.
Some of the standout pieces for us were the Floral Jacquard suit and the Leopard dress that Precious was shot in. Right now, the collection is minimal, but we are curious to see how this collection evolves.
You can shop the collection now, at 11Honore.com
We would love to see some of the more daring pieces and bold prints, that are currently on the Dolce & Gabbana site (up to a 16/18). But we understand the purpose of inching into the market.
In the meantime, we are curious… what do you feel about this collection? The access and launch with this luxe retailer? We are curious and would love to hear your thoughts!
