We have been watching that build for two seasons. Nice to see somebody in our size range respond to a trend while it is still a trend.

The Four Fits, and Who Each One Is For

Four silhouettes in Curve Icon by Lane Bryant. One of them is brand new. If you already know your Cacique fit, most of these will feel familiar. And if you don’t, keep this in mind: breasts are not one shape. Fullness on top, fullness on bottom, wide root, narrow root, close set, far apart, one a full cup size bigger than the other.

We are not going to breeze past this part.

The collection launched at 34D-DDD through 34F-42H. Cacique’s full bra offering runs bands 34 to 54 and cups B through K. Roughly 100 sizes. So Curve Icon by Lane Bryant came out of the gate noticeably smaller than what the brand carries everywhere else.

If you wear a 46 band or a J cup, this one is not for you yet. And you already know that feeling. Brand launches something gorgeous, the range is tighter than the flagship line, and the folks at the widest end get told to be patient. Again.

We would rather say that now than let you fall in love with a floral balconette and hit a wall at checkout.

Here is the other half of the truth, though. Cacique expands collections that sell. Comfort Bliss did not launch with the range it has today. It grew because people bought it and said so loudly. If Curve Icon is a fit you want in your size, buying it and telling them is the loudest signal available to you.

How to Wear It, Practically

Let it show a little. These are built with a neckline that reads intentional under an open blazer or a lower cut top. Perfect Coverage and Balconette handle that best. If you want the lace to peek, let it peek.

Match the bra to the neckline, not the occasion. Deep V gets Boost Plunge. Scoop or square gets Balconette. Knits and anything clingy get Unlined Full Coverage. Everything else gets Perfect Coverage.

The design finally treats plus size intimates like something worth looking at. And the everyday framing respects that we do not need a reason to wear something we like.

The size range has to grow. We said it, we meant it, and we will say it again next launch if we have to.
