15 Plus Size Pride Looks We Love from Bloggers, Influencers and YOU!

Pride Month is coming to an end and I have personally enjoyed seeing what everyone has been wearing to the parades and marches across the world. LGBTQ individuals are not only also plus size but they are stylish as heck! These LGBTQ plus size bloggers and influencers are prime examples and Instagram is a great place to see these plus size pride looks in action.

Instagram has turned LGBTQ focused hashtags rainbow for the month but as I’ve been scrolling through the #Pride tag, it’s noticeably lacking in representation of plus size people. It’s important that when we are talking about inclusion, that includes body, size and shape diversity, too.  I decided to take matters into my own hands by searching through Instagram to find bloggers, models, and influencers sporting rainbow threads at Pride. I also asked on my Instagram for submissions and a few of those are here too.

If you missed Pride this year, consider this list your one year style inspiration warning for next year’s celebration!

Hey babes! Guess what…the video I shot in partnership with @mic for @dove is live! Click the link in my bio to view it on Mic’s Facebook page. In case you weren’t aware, this past weekend, I was in New York City for LGBTQ #Pride2018 where I got the chance to talk all about being queer and femme and ask real women at Pride what it means to be #DefiantlyDifferent and what #RealBeauty is to them. I hope you love the video as much as I do and to all the queer femmes out there, I hope you feel seen. 😘💕🌈 . . . #dovepartner #chiefofstyle #plussize #lgbt #gaypride #plussizestyle #plussizeblogger #plussizemodel #fashion #gay #lesbian #queer #styleblogger #thickthighssavelives #bopo #bodypositivity #lgbtq #femmesofcolorvisibility #everybodydeserveslove #nowrongway #effyourbeautystandards #ootd #browngirlbloggers #celebratemysize #brooklyn #nyc #plussizefashion

Today I realized I've been openly queer for FIVE FREAKIN YEARS! . It's weird how it passes in a blink of an eye. A lot of people are sharing how they first realized they were queer. I don't have a pinpointed moment in time* but I can remember, super clearly, how different it felt dating a woman for the first time. I felt more in love in three months than I had during my whole life. It felt like things finally made sense. . Almost no one was surprised when they found out I was dating a girl, which was really strange to me! But I guess I've always been different. I also am incredibly secure in who I am, what I want, and that there's nothing wrong with that. I've made a lot of realizations since coming out but one thing has remained pretty true: no one will ever stop me from being out and proud as fuck. . *Okay okay, the Klaine kiss in S2 of Glee was most likely the moment. . #pride2018 #fatfemme #queerfashion #dcblogger #capitalpride #whatfatgirlsactuallywear #fatgirlflow #comfyfat #plussizebabes #fatqueer

I have really enjoyed covering the intersection of the LGBTQ community and plus size fashion during this Pride month. I hope if you’re a member of the community, you felt seen and if you’re not, I hope you learned something new!

Remember that supporting the LGBTQ community doesn’t end on July 1. You can shop LGBTQ-owned brands year-round, donate to non-profits and support your favorite LGBTQ blogger with those likes and comments!
