Have you checked out the latest size-inclusive Indie Brands making their mark on fashion? On top of that, what words stand out to you as your think about Indie Brands? The simplest definition of an Indie Brand is an independently owned brand that is not part of a larger scale parent brand or company.

When it comes to plus-size indie brands to have on your radar, there is a growing list of brands I’ve pinpointed over the past few years, but today I’m spotlighting the brand Wray. From the brands’ attention to detail to size-inclusive selections, this is one brand to have on your radar and shopping list for this season, the next, the next, and the next!

Meet wray

According to its spectacular website, Wray was founded in 2015 by Wray Serna in New York. This brand is known for its inclusivity and fine art-inspired clothing, with plenty of boldness, colors, patterns, and personality highlighted throughout the entire collection.

Here is a bit more about brand owner Wray, she is a graduate of California College of the Arts followed by extended studies at Parsons School of Design. Born of Serna’s interest in art and design, each season builds on influences from sculpture, painting, and beyond to create clothes focused on form and function. While her collections are designed and developed in New York City, each garment is made ethically at fair-trade operations in India, Hong Kong, and Peru.

From an array of patterns to bold colors, here are a few selections on the brand’s website that have caught my eye and I’m pretty sure will catch your eye as well.

Wray Pieces We Love

This Sports Bikini Top (Limon) is currently available on the brand’s website is one of many selections that caught my eye as I was looking through the entire website for inspiring swimsuits, especially to take on the Summer season. This two-piece suit is available in sizes XXS-6XL and also comes in additional colors. In addition to a variety of bold swimsuit pieces, you can also shop statement graphic t-shirts. One that immediately caught my eye because of its colors is this Graphic Tee – Psych Parade. In addition to other graphic tees available on the brand’s website, this tee comes in sizes XXS-6XL and is terrific for wearing throughout any season of the year. Wouldn’t you agree?

Last but certainty not least (as I’m tempted to shop each selection on the brand’s website), is this bucket hat I spotted because of its checkered print and extravagant detail. Bucket hats have become my go-to item this Summer and will be moving forward throughout the Fall season, so why not add this Sun Hat – Aqua Hat to my shopping list? This hat comes in a combination of different colors and patterns, which they all are still available to shop on Wray. Are you now tempted to grab you for the season(s)?

Just like you, of course it’s hard for me not to shop each of the selections on the website. While today’s highlighted selections are just a few that caught my eye, I’m very excited to keep my eyes peeled on more selections coming from Wray , especially as we move into the Fall season.

Like Wray, more Indie Brands are making their mark on the fashion industry, and I can’t wait to highlight more of them. Especially, Indie brands who prioritize size-inclusive options and selections. Stay tuned for more spotlights coming your way from more Indie Brands, but until then, leave a comment with your favorite selection from the website.
