Depression kept me inside for so long, hiding from the light. I used to spend every free moment in the park, on the balcony, at the beach or swimming pool sunbathing, by myself or with friends but mostly by myself with a book, music and snacks. Summer time was my favorite time. But then the darkness drove me away from the sun. My once beloved season became my worst enemy. I’m still not at the point of feeling the urge to go outside as soon as the temperature rises or the sun comes out. But at least I’m past that point of hating life when it (finally) is warm and sunny. Maybe I’ll never be that same old Summer child that comes to life as soon as the sun comes out and that makes me sad at times. I missed out on so much while hiding in the dark these past 2 years. So whatever fear you might have of putting on swimwear in public please don’t because it’s not worth it. I always loved and still love wearing bikinis, my body never was a reason to hate this time of year it’s this sickness that’s to blame and there’s no need to let insecurities take away the joy this season has to offer because who cares about a lack of thigh gap or wobbly bellies? Don’t let nobody (yourself included) tell you you can’t wear that bikini because you can. Everybody, literally, every BODY deserves to have fun in the sun. Now can somebody please zap me to a white sand beach instead of this white wall?!? Maybe a tropical vacay can cure this depression ??? #toocoolforfashionrules #nationalbikiniday
