Let’s talk shapewear—aka the not-so-secret weapon in most of our curvy girl closets. If you’ve ever stood in front of a mirror in a sundress thinking, “Something’s missing…” it might just be the right plus size body shaper. But with so many styles, fabrics, and levels of squeeze to choose from, diving into the world of shapewear can feel like walking into a department store with no map and way too many options. I remember my first shapewear purchase—I was overwhelmed, confused, and definitely picked the wrong one. (Been there? Same.)
Luckily, we’ve got you. Here at The Curvy Fashionista, we’re all about making style easier and more fun, especially when it comes to essentials like shapewear. We’ve broken it down before in our Shapewear 101, but now that summer’s heating up and the bodycon dresses and flowy frocks are making their grand return, it’s time for a plus size body shaper refresh. Let’s make sure you’re stocked up with the styles that keep you feeling cool, confident, and oh-so-snug in all the right places.
