All the signs of summer have officially arrived. We’re out more, wearing less and enjoying these summer days. Of course as the temperatures rise fashion choices do change when your plus size. When I think about the many trends of plus size summer style, I can’t help, but mention one of my all-time favorites, the Maxi Dress. Maxi dresses was the style back in the 1970’s. Now they’re back.
I love these, especially the fuschia one. I am very in between. I could do a 14, but just to my waist, then I immediately pop into a butt (think Kardashian but much less boobs). One piece anything is problematic. If I do a plus dress I need the top reconstructed. I can do a 16 or XL or XXL if the bottom is stretchy. So for a wedding I got a Maison Jules dress, top is narrowed neck not quite a halter and covered in the back, and the bottom is a million tiny pleats, almost to my ankles, elastic waist, and stretchy lining to the thighs. I may be pulling that down all day when I wear it, but it’s really pretty.
I love the maxi dresses in bold prints. It’s funny how we always were told not to wear big pattern prints, but those are the ones I think are the most flattering! Gorgeous selections! Thanks!
