How much fun is this! So good right? I need the red dress. And that deconstructed sequins skirt? Ohhhh! Looks like so much fun! But I so need this white leather top. BAD. I have a white perforated leather jacket, but this top? Honey it is everything. (Does a little shoulder bop in excitement)
But, instead of me trying to explain inspiration, let me share with you what Jasmine had to share about the Jibri Holiday 2015 Collection:
My inspiration stayed close to the retro zone of the late 70’s early 80’s but moved more towards the party scene of those eras. I worked with some mind blowing textures that melted into my signature silhouettes. Deconstructed sequin, perforated faux leather, super fluid silks, graphic printed satin, embroidered metallic sheer, textured, hand embossed & metallic spun wool… each fabric more interesting than the last.
The woman I saw while designing this collection makes the DJ at the company party abandon his approved playlist. She commands attention without effort. She’s Sinatra and Cobain. She’s Bocelli & Beyoncé. She’s Adele & Jeezy. She’s homemade cookies & vodka. She’s on the naughty & nice list. You might want to move to the right a little. She’s about to dance… unless, SHE is YOU! 🙂 Cheers to all the women who celebrate life and dress for the party!
