Today, it was a dry 94 degrees. In the desert 94 degrees and will stay above 80 until after 8pm. So, trying to stay cute and keep my cool, I have realized that I have my most tried and true go tos to keep my life right and cool- especially as I have been all over the place this summer! I meanโฆ We all have our summer must haves to keep cool, and today as I am dying with this heat; I decided to share with you the things I have to keep regularly stocked up on.
I mean we all reach for my faves, but these are those things I realized that I do not necessarily talk about or share, because I normally do not think twice, they are my natural go to pieces especially as I have been travelingโฆ and umโฆ on the road, in traffic, and just hanging out- I do have my essentialsโฆ SO when I was asked by Starbucks to share a few of my must haves in addition to them, I had to go in!

Bottled Starbucksยฎ Iced Coffee
I mean, you know I love my coffee. If you do not know, I LOVE my coffee. The memes I share? Now a few of yaโll are even sharing them on my page with me! I LOVE IT. But hot coffee? Naw manโฆ not when it is 94 degrees outside, I need to keep it cute and coolโฆ Refreshing, no sugar needed to be added; I can by them in packs, I can get them while at the grocery store or Rite-Aid, and can choose the flavor? YES maโam.
Murad Essential-C line
I am team Murad. Like, I have used almost every color specialty of this line, but the Essential C Line is the one for me as an African American woman who has breakouts, has scars, and who is mindful of the amazing SMOG that SoCal is known for. I even rock with their peel too! I am telling you honey! I do not play. AND their Sunscreen? One of the few that does not break me out or turn me purpleโฆ
Shea Moisture CC Cream
Sometimes, you just need a little oomph to your day. This CC (color correcting) does just the trick and is extremely light and effective. I was surprised when I saw their makeup range over at Target and I let my curiosity get the best of meโฆ What a great delight! WOOT!
Skindinavia primer
Because I am an oily one. Well, I do have combo skin, but I have a tendency to sweat or to shine bright like a diamond. I use the finishing spray, and when I had the pleasure to test out the primer, my life has been happier. I being extra, but seriously, this has become a must have as I travel especially to the heat coast with all that humidity. HMPH. Take that moisture.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Brow Gel
Yo. This brow gel is everything. In this heat as I sweat, I am trying to make sure that my eyebrows do not melt off. And to do this, I get DOWN with this gel. It dries and I finish it off with a brow powder and I am good until I wash my face! You only need a teensy bit of this to define the brow, so make sure that you are ginger handed with this!
Dove Clear Tone
I mean, I have to keep it fresh. On top of that, I am on a mission to keep my armpits as clear as possible, given that I have to shave (I should be waxing) and my skin is sensitive. PEREFECT combination right? -_- Gotta love it. I do love using this one, as I am kept fresh, my skin hasnโt been as sensitive, and not as hyper-pigmented as usualโฆ
Urban Decay Eyeliners
Where do I begin. I promise I use these daily. Urban Decay eyeliners are EVERYTHING to me. There is hardly a picture of me where I am NOT wearing a hue from this brand! I love the pigments they have in their liners where the color of the pencil is the color on my skin! Heyyyyyy booo! I live for these and stack up whenever I get the chance.
Jockeys SlipShorts
For the love of my thighs. I love these microfiber slip shorts, as I was introduced to them earlier in the year (do you remember my post here?) and I take these with me everywhere. I am going to need to restock on them soonโฆ But these lightweight shorts save my thighs effortlessly. I have both pink and black and am waiting to see if I can find a brown hue. THEN those are MINE!
