Man. Summer seems to have come quite early this year, giving us triple degrees of scorching weather before we made it through the end of May! But here we are in June, and with the heat and summer finally here, I thought it was only befitting that we tackle some of Summer’s hottest trends that will keep us fashionable and cool!
First trend up? WHITE!
Now, I know for some of you, white anything can be scary! Before we tackle this trend, there are just a few myths about wearing white that we must address:
White Makes You Look Big:
This is only true if you get your outfit in sizes that do not fit your properly. Besides, we are already aware of our fabulous girth, so why try to hide it? Choose items and fabrics FIT your curves fabulously and drape well!
You can see EVERYTHING:
Ah, yes, if you choose an item that is unlined or of cheaper fabric, then yes. But to counter this, thanks to the plus size designer gods, we have innovative fabrics that gives us the very coverage we need! Lining also does wonders for allowing the garment to hang in all the right places!
It gets dirty so fast:
This happens to be true if you are hyper aware to you wearing the color white! If you treat white as any other hue on the color wheel, as a simple mind trick, you will be able to make it throughout the day without a blunder! (Note: this requires extreme focus! LOL)
