We are seeing collections with bathing suits, lounge-wear, long flowing pieces, and who could ask whyโฆ In between the Fall and Spring Collection comes Resort Wear! This is usually the perfect time where people escape the freezing cold weather and vacation in Florida, the Islands, pretty much anywhere where the sun shines nicely and does not require four layers to stay warm! This is where Sorella Swim comes in to play.
This plus size swimwear company is no stranger to the Curvy Fashionista. I have a few pieces from this collection and as the newest collections started hitting the web, I wanted to share with you the latest from this California based plus size company!
When we had the chance to check out and interview Jessica Petersen, the designer behind this collection, we were beyond elated! High end designer resort wear and swimwear that focuses on form, fit, and fashion? We are all over it!
Who is Sorella Swim?
Launched in 2010, Sorella swim is a luxury swimwear line that launched its first collection for Resort 2011. the brand debuted their collection with a 10-piece capsule collection that included 8 swimsuits and two cover-ups in sizes 10-24.
Meaning โsistersโ in Italian, Sorella Swim is 100% designed and manufactured in southern California!
Designer Jessica Petersen launched Sorella Swim with a simple goal not yet achieved by any other brand: Provide full-figured beauties with luxe, timelessly fashionable bathing suits that camouflage certain areas, accentuate others, and are comfortable enough to leave on all day.

With detailed focus on support, fabric, and sizing this plus size swimwear brand is definitely a line for you to shimmy into! Each style features molded cups providing a gorgeous bust shape and lift for that old Hollywood sense of style! The swimwear is constructed using a circular knit giving the swimwear amazing stretch and recovery for that perfect fit. The cover-ups are made with the highest quality modal and chiffon to pamper your skin.
