Lane Bryant has been a busy little bee! With consistently amazing designer plus size collaborations, Lane Bryant is reaching further down to inspire the next wave of plus size fashion designers with their latest collaboration with Los Angeles based Fashion Design School, OTIS College of Art and Design! The Otis Collection for Lane Bryant is a great way to bring up the next generation of plus size designers!
We’re always looking at the future of fashion… and how every body can be represented. So when Isabel Toledo suggested that we work with OTIS, we jumped at the idea.
— Lou Ann Bett, EVP Chief Merchandising Officer, Lane Bryant
Lane Bryant tapped 12 students at Otis College of Art and Design with a special assignment late last year:
Put together a collection of plus-size work outfits that will be sold at Lane Bryant stores.
To ensure the perfect plus size fit, function, and style, OTIS shares that “Lane Bryant’s consultants checked in with the students, starting with the initial design and fit process all the way to the final fashion show.”
And today? The collection comes to life! Minimalist and easy in its design and styling, the Otis Collection for Lane Bryant mixes a California lifestyle with easy wear to work pieces. There are some faves in the collection! For me the laser cut jacket and the green and white shift dress are at the top of my list!
Like what you see? You can shop the collection NOW, at LaneBryant.com!
The limited-edition collection will be available in sizes 14-28 this February at lanebryant.com, and exclusively in both the brand’s flagship location on 34th Street and the store at Del Amo Fashion Center in the Los Angeles area.
What do you think of the pieces and the range?
For those who love a bit more of an elevated and city chic look, there are a few gems in this collection that will call out to you!… I know this is true for me!
I’m getting that green sheath dress. I want all of these pieces but I really need to understand why these tank tops are $60!!! Come on, Lane Bryant.
WOW!! What an awesome idea! What a way to embrace new designers, absolutely love the idea and the fashion these students have come up with – These are once in a lifetime kind of opportunities, so great to see big retailers like Lane Bryant, give these students a go. Well done to everyone involved 🙂
