A few weeks ago, I shared with you that Nordstrom was launching an exclusive plus size private label: Sejour. Myself, along with a few other plus size bloggers had the chance to preview the fit, fabric, and construction of the collection, in addition to giving this feedback straight to the designers!

The level of openness and reception of feedback was golden! Keeping it real, I shared what I loved, disliked, and wished to see more of! Any who, Sejour has launched online featuring sequined jackets, embellished knits, and playful lace tops!

Her are some shots from the shoot!

Sejour by Nordstrom

New Plus Size Label at Nordstrom- Sejour

Sejour will be carried in sizes 14W- 24W, and 1X-3X, primarily in a curvy fit. The collection will feature great looks for layering with wonderful fabric manipulation and fun textures, sequins, beading; all sorts of stylish embellishments for the season and will provide versatile pieces for maximum wearing occasions, from weekend to work and evening to holiday.

I have the tank! Great for the fuller chested without the cleavage being offensive!

I have these pants and they are surprisingly comfortable! Great classic shape that will never go out of style!

This sweater is what I am wearing in my review!

What do you think? Could you see a few items on your shopping list? What I love is that both Sejour and Nordstrom use full-figured models, have reached out to the community to find out what WE want, and are taking our feedback to deliver that to US!

I am elated and geeked! Rather than capitalizing on the swell of attention to plus size fashion, Nordstrom actually did their homework, listened to the consumer, and made it work! While Sejour may not be the edgiest of designers, they offer a quiet and playful sophistication- an often missed perspective for the plus size woman.

You can shop the Sejour Collection at Nordstrom.com!

This is not the Faith 21 line, ASOS Curves, or Evans type of collection. This collection is a bit more sophisticated with fun pieces sprinkled throughout! On trend classics and shapes that often elude us, when we want an everyday chic look!

I want the Sequin Jacket, the Cargo pants, and the Sequin Tank! What are you feeling?

Available exclusively in the Encore department beginning the first through second weeks of November, Sejour will launch in two phases with the first roll-out in November, and in the Spring of 2011, the full collection will be available in pocket friendly pricing from $28 to $200.

Make sure you visit Nordstrom t o shop the new private label Sejour!

Nordstrom stands out in my mind as the most plus-friendly of all the major department stores. Iโ€™ve always managed to find something I liked (and sometimes loved) there, and they were ahead of the curve so to speak when it came to shopping by shape.

I am really loving that baseball-shirt-style top with the 3/4-sleeves and the sequined bodice and also the sequined black jacket. I know those loose flowy cardigans are the trend right now, but I feel they make people (tall plus sizes especially) look matronly. Thatโ€™s just me, though. I know people love them.

I should probably just say that I donโ€™t like how those cardigans look on ME! ๐Ÿ™‚ Iโ€™m top heavy and have a long torso, thick waist, and non-long legs.

Did you have the chance to look at my pics form the items I reviewed? I have noticed that depending how you style them, will greatly change the look! But as you know different strokesโ€ฆ

If you did an open cardigan, it sounds like a belted one that stops at the top of your hips would work!

        Thanks for stopping by!!!!

I work at nordstom in the โ€œEncoreโ€ department and i am very excited about sejour. The customers seem to like the line. I fell inlove with the sequin shirt but i believe the seqing weigh the shirt down and its makes the shirt look bulky and saggyโ€ฆbut overall i love the line and i cant wait to see what else they send.
