We love a great leap of faith and chasing your dreams. And one of those people who has inspired us is influencer Hayet Rida with her launch of The Koi Studio!
Ladies, having options is important in fashion right? And by options that also means different places to shop. We’ve been showing some major love to the mainstream, household name plus size brands. I thought it was about time to show some love to some indies! One brand in particular, Nakimuli, we’ve featured before (but not in a long time), but now we’re bringing you their 2017 fall collection!
If you don’t know Nakimuli, get to know them ASAP, because they’re latest pieces are going to fill up your fall wardrobe. They are known for their bold, statement making swimwear, but they also feature vintage/rare finds on their site, so you can get a one-of-a-kind piece, only if you commit fast!
Their latest additions bring those same bright colors and some staple elements for fall to make the perfect collection of fall vintage looks. Click through the gallery below for some of my favs!
Our Favorite Plus Size Looks from the Nakimuli Fall 2017 Collection
Their philosophy boldly states:
“NAKIMULI aims to go beyond the traditions of women’s fashion and explore more of the imagination. Creating fashion forward garments for forward thinking young women. Inspired by color, shapes, and prints, NAKIMULI has created their own fashion revolution: one that embraces a love of self at any size, inspires sisterhood, individuality, comfort, and lots of fierceness.”

What I love about Nakimuli is their originality and commitment to culture. Nakimuli has been worn by some of my favorite plus size divas, Jill Scott, Danielle Brooks, and Jazmine Sullivan. For this collection I’m loving the red fringe jacket and all the cardigans! The prints and cuts of each piece are definitely reminiscent of the 90s giving you that vintage look that everyone is loving this fall!
Are you a lover of vintage? What’s your favorite piece from Nakimuli’s latest collection?
