Looking for a plus size project or campaign that you can through your support behind? Well, today we have some cool news for you!
The newest Indiegogo campaign, โLife Drawingโ could easily be the story so many plus size women fear AND is also the story many face. Not seeing the true beauty within ourselves, while othersย clearly see who we are. This is a project made for us, by us! When we call for projects that showcase our beauty, livelihood, and issues, we have to support them and today we have the chance to do just that!
What is Life Drawing?
Imagine posing on a platform in front of a room full of people. Theirย peering eyes, gazingย at your naked body, tracing every inch of youโฆ The worst part? Your โfriendsโ forced you to participate. In the upcoming short film, โLife Drawingโ the story of Robyn, a plus-sized college student, is bullied into posing for the art studentsโ figure drawing class, by her future sorority sisters and it is through the eyes of these strangers that she finally realizes her beauty.
In collaboration with the Department of Cinema and Power (DCP), the upcoming short film โLife Drawingโ seeks to raise awareness among the general public on critical issues facing todayโs society such as body positivityย and other compelling social causes.ย They areย delivering neededย messages to broaden audiences through narrative short fiction filmmaking, featuring the work of women and minority artists!
It is good to see projects like this drawing awareness to the body positive community.
