Each year, the event brings about curvy fashionistas and fans of fashion to NY for a week full of fashion, curves, and networking! Speaking of fashion, we have a few new faces and designers that you must make yourself aware of!  Some of them, you need to know and a few you don’t want to miss!

Elocin Plus


Led by creative director Nicole K. Nolan, Elocin Plus showcases a unique spin on womenswear staples. Feminine details such as ruffles and lace really make their clothing stand out from the pack. Elocin Plus is for the fashion-forward, sophisticated and confident women with curves.

NAKIMULI by Tennille McMillan

Nakimuli Mint Julep Dress
The swimwear line from Nakimuli is fierce! A mix of bikinis and one-pieces that are unique and sexy. Her selection of feminine body con dresses show off daring curves. Designed and created by New York native Tennille McMillan, Nakimuli is destined to be a household name. Their motto “Become your own trendsetter. Dream. Explore. Dare.” explains it all. Huudaverti is a label created by Australian born sisters Laurice Romeo, Jan-Maree Evans and Christine Evans. Inspired by the 70s of their childhoods the sisters have created gorgeous collections for curvy figures. Their label officially launched in 2012 at Fiji Fashion Week and has been growing ever since. Their clothes are figure flattering and easy to wear and show off the confidence of the woman wearing it.

ONOZ DESIGNS by Amelie Maublanc


French based Onoz by Amelie Maublanc is comprised of killer edgy yet feminine pieces. The brand offers trendy clothing that accentuate curves and make heads turn. The silhouettes have a retro look and utilitze soft fabrics that work with curves. It presents Parisian women with a chic look that can be worn from day to night.

RUE 114


Rue 114 is not afraid to push the limits of fashion. They believe that “great fashion should be available in all sizes because fabulous, fierce, kick-ass women come in all sizes”! Inspired by designer Serwah Asante’s Ghanaian roots and her native New York City, Rue 114 brings global elements to its collection. African prints can often be found in many of the pieces.
