April showers may bring May flowers, but dressing chic in those showers is hard. You need to be practical AND you need to look cute. There’s no reason you can’t be fly and fabulous on a rainy day. Raincoats have come a long way since the days of the Paddington Bear jackets we were forced to wear as kids. Not only that but, finding a cute raincoat in plus sizes even a few years ago was an oxymoron. Thank God these days we have options! Ladies, no more excuses to not look good in all types of weather.
We’ve rounded up 7 chic plus size rain coats you’ve got to have.
Lands’ End Floral Pattern Coastal Rain Coat
Something about this floral pattern that just makes me want to frolic in a garden with a clear umbrella.
Jones New York Packable Rain Jacket
This jacket is made to fold up small to fit easily into your bag. Perfect for those unexpected rainy days.
ASOS Curve Blocked Rain Mac
How fresh and new is this colorblock rain coat??? In love with this!
SimplyBe Neon Trim Parka Jacket
Get a bit of the neon trend with this waterproof parka jacket. The sleeves roll-up for those hot and humid rainy days.
Ellen Tracy Faux-Leather Raincoat
I love how the orange faux-leather trim on this raincoat really gives it that extra edge to make it just different enough.
Burlington Coat Factory Belted Rain Jacket
OK Burlington Coat Factory, I see you! I always forget about Burlington, but don’t sleep on their plus size coat selection. I’m still rocking my Guess peacoat I got from them like 4 years ago for $40. Can’t beat the price and they have designers like Steve Madden in plus sizes! I like this chic belted rain jacket.
Marina Rinaldi Tallero Polka Dot Raincoat
If you’re looking to splurge on your raincoat, this high quality raincoat from Marina Rinaldi is perfect. Black and white is timeless and this coat will last you a long time.
Love the color block! Thinking I could channel my “Olivia Pope” in the Burlington raincoat! Lol You’re right about Burlington. I forget about them. 🙂
Btw absolutely love your blog!
They are all cute, but my faves are the cheery floral coat (reminds me of the cherry blossoms) and the Ellen Tracy number (love, love, love orange and khaki). The problem is that I will buy one and rarely use it 🙁
