Welcome to the Curvy Boss Spotlight, our unapologetic love letter to the plus size professionals who are making power moves behind the scenes and in front of them. This series was created to shine a light on the doers, the builders, the visionaries; those curvy professionals who are shaping culture in boardrooms, backstages, classrooms, and studios. Today, you are going to meet MsNickee Mack!
These aren’t influencers (we have our Influencer spotlights for those) or indie plus size designers (though we adore them too). These are the producers, coaches, strategists, directors, and entrepreneurs who often don’t get the visibility they deserve.
Why do we do it? Because you cannot be what you cannot see. And it’s time we celebrate the full spectrum of plus size brilliance… boldly and loudly.
This week, we’re spotlighting the dynamic force behind Diva Day International, MsNickee Mack.
The Force Behind the Fashion, MsNickee Mack

When MsNickee Mack walks into a room, you feel it. Whether she’s directing a shoot before sunrise, coaching a new face down the runway, or holding sacred space as a holistic therapist, she doesn’t just show up,she owns the moment. That’s what makes her a Curvy Boss, through and through.
As the Founder and Creative Director of Diva Day International and DDI Beauty Advisers, MsNickee wears many hats… and every single one is tailored with purpose. She moves fluidly between fashion, beauty, and healing, creating an ecosystem of opportunity, empowerment, and real representation.
“I Knew There Needed to Be a Change”
MsNickee’s journey into fashion wasn’t just about aesthetics, it was about justice.
“I am a curvy woman who has been in the fashion world for a while and noticed that there were very few women who looked like me being considered beautiful or getting the same opportunities,” she shares. “I knew that there needed to be a change.”
So, she made one.
As a trained model, she took her skills and paid them forward, building a platform that trained all bodies, not just the ones fashion traditionally celebrated. She brought in designers, makeup artists, and photographers, creating a network of pros who were prepared, polished, and inclusive.
“I didn’t want to offer the same experience by discriminating against smaller models,” she explains. “My choice was to have them work together. Everyone deserves training, and I knew I could help them all, not just some.”
Behind the Boss: A Day in MsNickee’s World

No two days look the same… and that’s exactly how she likes it.
“Up before the sun, editing pictures, setting up shoots, checking submissions, answering submissions, and organizing classes… all in the name of FASHION (lol)!”
From fashion to beauty, she runs her businesses like a well-oiled machine; balancing castings, projects, and client appointments with the finesse of a seasoned CEO.
But beyond the glitz, there’s depth. Once a week, she shifts gears into her role as a Holistic Therapist and Assessment Specialist for Generation of Excellence Non-Profit.
“That space brings me so much peace and joy; the perfect balance to my fast-paced fashion world.”
And as for what’s next? “Let’s just say I’ve got some BIG moves cooking for 2026/2027. Stay tuned!”
Overcoming the Industry’s Gatekeeping
Like many trailblazers, MsNickee Mack has faced the gatekeeping and cliques that plague fashion’s inner circles. But instead of shrinking, she stood tall… grounded in her truth.

“One key challenge? Not being enough, or well-connected enough, or cliqued up enough for some people in the industry,” she says. “I had to value me. My work speaks for itself. My training is top-notch. My personality is unique, transparent, and honest.”
Rooted in her spiritual journey, she’s learned to focus on her own lane and own it completely.
“My degrees and experience have given me legs in this game, honey, and I am WALKING TALL!”
Why Representation Still Matters
“For so long, I watched curvy women, beautiful women, powerful women, be overlooked, minimized, or told that their bodies didn’t fit into the definition of fashion,” she says. “That absence of visibility was personal for me.”
Instead of waiting for inclusion, she built her own runway, literally and figuratively.
“Representation means creating space where there was none, and making sure that curvy women don’t just show up in the room, but that they take center stage.”
MsNickee Mack is not just making space, she’s changing the narrative.
“When I talk about representation, I’m really talking about transformation. I’m talking about confidence, empowerment, healing, and joy.”
What Confidence Really Looks Like
“For me, confidence isn’t just about the walk on the runway; it’s about the energy you carry into every room.”
She teaches her clients and models that confidence doesn’t mean never being nervous, it means moving with purpose even when you are.
“Perfection isn’t the goal, authenticity is.”

Through encouragement, repetition, and celebration of even the smallest wins, MsNickee helps her clients unlock the power that’s already inside of them. And as a therapist, she guides others through unlearning, healing, and rebuilding their inner narratives.
“Confidence is a practice. It’s built day by day, step by step, walk by walk, until it becomes second nature.”
What’s Next: Mental Health, Magic, and More
While a few of her projects are still under wraps, MsNickee did give us one juicy detail:
“I have an amazing show coming up this year in Charlotte called Into The Thick Of It, a show centered around mental health awareness. Just shouting that out S/O PowerTeam Charlotte!”
As always, stay close to Diva Day International because the Dolls? They stay booked, busy, and breaking boundaries.
