14 Southern Plus Size Bloggers To Know and Watch!

Sharing is caring!

There’s no place like the South and these southern plus size bloggers are ready to show us just that! Atlanta, one of our favorite southern gems, is one of the most happening cities in the USA.  Besides being the HQ of The Curvy Fashionista and CNN, Atlanta boasts things like the Atlanta Beltline (22 miles of urban renewal, following railroad tracks!), the National Center of Civil and Human Rights and incredible restaurants and culture!

While we will be writing more about things to do in ATL as the TCF Style Expo, gets closer.  In the meantime, let’s talk about some of our favorite plus size bloggers who call the south home!

14 Southern Plus Size  Bloggers To Watch

Marie Denee

I mean, DUH!  Naturally we had to kick off with Marie, one of the OG plus size southern bloggers. While she’s located in Atlanta now, Marie hails from the West Coast.  Marie and her dog, Mocha, love being in Atlanta.  When she’s not writing and building her empire, Marie can be found taking Mocha for a walk in downtown ATL or checking airfares for an international getaway.

Crystal Daniels

Crystal is the founder of Society of Harlow, and blogs about music, fashion and fitness.  This Atlanta-based blogger rocks bold and bright patterns.

Hailing from PA, Crystal said this about living in Atlanta, “Atlanta is bold, vibrant, historic, and revolutionary! From the civil rights movement to southern hip hop, Atlanta is the home of groundbreaking talent and movements. What I love most about Atlanta is its unapologetic display of how multifaceted and diverse the city and its people can be. For example, one day you can do yoga while listening to trap music in the park and the next marching down Peachtree protesting a social injustice. Atlanta is filled with movers, shakers, dreamers, and doers, you don’t have to fit into one mold from fashion, music, art, and lifestyle!”

Alex Sundstrom

You can feel Alex’s infectious and bright energy just scrolling through her Instagram and blog, Chubby Struggles.  She blogs about business, travel, mental health – and, of course, – plus size fashion!  Alex is a proud Houstonian, saying, “There’s never a dull moment here!  I’m still discovering new restaurants and events.”  Alex is also working on growing the plus community in Houston, and is co-hosting “Clutch City Curves: Fancy Fat Party” on June 16 with Londen Underwood!

Pepper M

Ok so we might be a little biased with this one since Pepper is the Social Media Manager for TCF Style Expo BUT she is so fabulous that we can’t have this list without her. When Pepper isn’t making athleisure look couture, she can be found sharing her fashion forward views on Pretty Plus Pep.

Triena Deniese

Triena Deniese is an “ATL Shawty Blogger,” whose photos make me ready to go to the beach!  I especially love how Triena mixes patterns!  Living in Atlanta is the perfect blend for the true southern belle who has big city dreams!” says Triena. “Being an ATLien gives me the fast-pace lifestyle that I love for my career, but peace and tranquility is always within arms reach the minute I step outside of the city limits. It’s truly the best of both worlds!”

Hey friends! Sorry I’ve been a little MIA for the past few days. I’ve been dealing with some things that I can’t discuss just yet, and haven’t been able to dedicate much time to Instagram this week! . . I promise that as soon as I’m able to share what’s up with me, I will! In the meantime, I just have to brag on the sweet man in this picture. My husband is the sweetest and kindest man I’ve ever known (along with my dad). He is my rock and support system on even the toughest days, and I feel like I can tackle anything that comes my way with him by my side. . . And because I know you’ll ask… this dress is from @lanebryant. I love it so much I wrote an entire blog post about it. I just checked & most sizes are still in stock. You can read all about the dress & shop at the link in my profile. Please note that the links to shop in the blog post are affiliate links and I will receive a small percentage if you purchase (at no cost to you). The affiliate $ helps me offset the cost of running the blog & I appreciate you using these links when you purchase items I recommend. 💕 . . I’ve also got several exciting packages that I’m looking forward to unboxing and sharing with you! From @diaandco @lanebryant @eloquii and @universalstandard! Now, next week the weather’s supposed to be in the 70s so I’ll finally be able to wear all the new gear! In the meantime, be on the lookout for an unboxing in my IG stories! 😍😍😍 . . . . . #plusfashion #plussizefashion #fatshion #effyourbeautystandards #plusblogger #curves #psblogger #psootd #thriftplusstyle #psfashion #celebratemysize #fullfiguredfashion #plusmodelmag #goldenconfidence #tcfstyle #plusisequal #stylehasnosize #andigetdressed #plusisequal #boldncurvy #stylebeyond22 #the24plus #bopo #honormycurves #superfatsunite #thepluslife #lanebryant #lanestyle #savannahgeorgia

⭐️As every year passes, I feel like I embrace my roots as a southern gal more and more. When I first moved to Los Angeles I got this Texas tattoo to remind me of my roots. I thought, “this will make sure I never go back to Texas”. I did go back. I fell in love. I found amazing friendships. I found my calling. One of my favorite quotes ever is an old Yiddish proverb “Man plans, God Laughs”. ✨ I’m laughing too! My beautiful dress is @draperjames by way of @eloquii and my hat is borrowed from a friend. ❤️ ________________________________________#eloquiixdraperjames #draperjames #dallasblogger #dallasstyle #xoq #psootd #abmlifeiscolorful #communityoverxompetition

There is something about the SOUTH, because all of these bloggers radiate an incredible amount of, well, joy!  The joy of Gess (“Jess with a G”) is palpable in her pictures. You can follow her style adventures over at Gess Flyy!

Nikki Free Style

I’m a little obsessed with Nikki’s branding!  She describes herself as “The Stylish Life & Times of a Slightly Bougie Black Girl,” and she calls Atlanta home!  NikkiFree Style really shows different styles for different times of the week.  From brunch looks to office and business wear, she’s got it all!

Nikki loves Atlanta, saying, “Atlanta is the center of Black culture and success in America, and the #1 reason I love living here. In 1971, Ebony Magazine declared Atlanta as the “Black Mecca of the South,” and that has been true ever since. African-American success in business, entertainment and politics is evident in Atlanta and I love being immersed in it all. From Bankhead to Buckhead, you can see the amazing influence Black culture has had on this great city, and the cost of living is still very affordable as well.”

AP Young

Do you ever read someone’s Instagram bio and think, “OMG be my friend?”  That’s how I felt reading AP’s!  She describes herself as a “Brilliantly basic mom, wife, mental health advocate and self proclaimed plus size fashionista.”  She’s also 1/3 of Fluffy Girl Tribe, a plus size collective based in the South!

These bloggers have me itching to visit the South!!
