Accessorize to Maximize: April Showers Means Get Your Life Ready with a Chic Umbrella!

Rainy Days. When they arrive, plans are immediately changed for some. All of a sudden, you have to change your shoes, fix your hair differently, or even wear an entire new outfit for the day. Because of this, I can see why rainy days are such a bummer to so many.

I on the other hand, love a rainy day. I enjoy the smell of rain, and the feeling of it on my skin and hair. I’ve gotten more colds than I care to count from walking around in the rain! But I think that it’s a quote from the poet Langston Hughes that made me change my thoughts on the rain forever:

Let the rain kiss you. Let the rain beat upon your head with silver liquid drops. Let the rain sing you a lullaby. ~Langston Hughes

Another part of being a lover of rainy days is being the lover of umbrellas. I love a fun, funky umbrella. I enjoy the feeling of walking around New York City on a rainy day and having my bright, colorful umbrella stand out in a sea of black ones.

Were these 9 umbrellas, cute, colorful and compact or what? I’ve been personally eyeballing that Teal umbrella from Pardon My Fro for a quick minute! I mean, THAT is a statement maker, for real… And the idea of rocking an umbrella with for your purse? Ohhh yes! Yes, please! And who doesn’t love the classic appeal of an umbrella? The birdcage one? It reminds me of one of the first umbrellas I purchased for myself. So adorable!

These umbrellas were made for being seen in on rainy days, so no longer will you have an excuse for binge-watching Netflix when it’s rainy outside. With one of these babies in your purse or in your car, I dare you to go for a walk on a rainy day. I bet you’ll soon love it as much as I do.
