Over here, at The Curvy Fashionista, we are huge fans of the Chevy brand…. Marie rocks a Chevy Cruze and they have been past sponsors of the TCFStyle Expo, so when they invited us to road test the new Chevy Equinox to head out to Nashville for the CMAs Fest, we happily obliged! We hit the road in the new 2018 Chevy Equinox and tested out some of the newest features, including the Teen Driver, OnStar navigation, and iPhone/Android syncing–just to name a few!
Introducing the 2018 Chevy Equinox!
At first glance, we noticed the gorgeous exterior, smooth outer frame, and perfect red paint job. We loved the color so much, we named her Bloody Mary! We noticed that the size of the vehicle was a little bigger than a full size car, but not as large as a full size SUV, which makes sense why the Equinox is classified as a compact SUV.
We fell in love with the cream leather interior and the sunroof. The seats were extra comfortable (for our fuller behinds) with adjustable heating and cooling seat features, keeping us cool throughout the 90+ degree weather outside! I mean, it gets hot down here in the south.
The cool breeze from the sunroof was a lovely addition.
What We Loved about the Chevy Equinox:
- The technology: Techie fashionistas like us have a certain set of needs when it comes to our ride. Luckily, the Chevy team had given us a crash course on operating the newest features of the car, which made our lives a whole lot easier once we hit the road. We were able to sync our phones to the Bluetooth and WiFi, which, by the way, extends up to 25 ft outside the vehicle.
- The spacious interior: Loading this baby up with all of our luggage was a breeze with the hands-free power liftgate, which is triggered by waving your foot underneath the rear of the car. It is also super spacious with 60/40 folding rear seats, which made it easy for us to load everything and have space to spare.
- The little details: The interior car design and center stack gave us complete accessibility for charger and AUX cord from anywhere in the car. Girl! The iPhone and Android sync feature actually mirrors the homepage of your phone for quick and easy dashboard navigation! But don’t get too excited, it only shows the apps that we absolutely needed when driving, such as maps and music but still really cool and necessary.
- GPS & Navigation with Onstar! One of our favorite features was the OnStar service. Once it was time to fuel up, we pressed the OnStar button and asked the OnStar advisor to direct us to the nearest gas station, instead of attempting to look it up on our own.The advisor can download the directions into our Chevy Equinox for a turn-by-turn navigation.
Once we got into Nashville, it felt like hardly any time had passed! Our ride was made simple with all of the amazing features that the 2018 Chevy Equinox has to offer. Not to mention, it drove like a dream!
With a chic, modern, stylish design, the Chevy Equinox perfectly combines all the great features we’d want without overwhelming us. Having everything at our fingertips made it a much better driving experience, and kept us safe, which is top priority when we’re on the road.
With power, techonology and design, the Chevy Equinox definitely made our trip much more enjoyable.
