#PSPFit: A Social Media Movement for Healthy Curves with Cece Olisa

I have been watching plus size relationship blogger, CeCe Olisa from The Big Girl Blog doing her thing with PSPFit for a while now. I love what and where she is coming form with this movement, watching her on twitter @CeCeOlisa doing her thing, motivating, inspiring, and leading others through this program she created.

I had the chance to reach out to Cece to learn a bit more about this movement and her impetus for starting along this journey! Please read on to learn more about her and PSPFit!

What prompted you to take or make this journey?

I have PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) which lots of plus size women have, even if they don’t know it.

I was noticing that when I ate well and worked out my symptoms improved, and when I fell off the wagon? My body did not like it! I started to realize that it wasn’t about losing weight, it was about supporting my body with whole foods and movement and letting my body regulate itself.

Healthy is sooooo the new skinny!

How did it evolve?

#PSPfit started off as accountability through taking photos of meals and workouts on instagram and twitter with the #PSPfit hashtag, this is an easy form of accountability.

Then I took it to the next level in my personal life by hiring a nutritionist. I started thinking about how many women could benefit from something like this if it was more affordable.

That’s where the idea of #PSPfit boot camps came from. This cycle we’re able to bring 30 days of intense fitness and nutrition coaching to women at a 95% discount.

What do you see it growing to?

It’s really up to the girls who participate, we’re in this together!

As long as women have a desire to get healthy, I don’t mind finding experts to help us do it! I’d love to see #PSPfit Chapters in different cities/countries so that curvy girls can meet up and work out together.

Be grateful for the body you have, it’s going to do the work to get you to your next level of health.
