Anna Scholz, born in Germany and trained at Central Saint Martins, was one of the first designers to bring genuine luxury to the plus size market, showing her first collection in sizes 12 to 28 in 1995. Working from London, she built a celebrity-loved label famed for bright, exclusive prints, embellishment, and feminine silhouettes for UK sizes 14 to 28. After roughly three decades and diffusion lines with Sheego and Simply Be, Scholz shuttered the main label in 2023, citing Covid, Brexit, and rising costs.
