#NOFATPHOBIA: Plus Size Fashionistas Slayed at AFROPUNK Atlanta

Want to experience what its like to be free, love your body, dress and act as you please with no judgement? That is AFROPUNK! Check out our favorite plus size looks!

In case you missed it, this past weekend the AFROPUNK Music Festival made its way to Atlanta! For those of you who don’t know what AFROPUNK is an annual multicultural arts festival that celebrates and unifies the cultural cornerstones of through music, film, skate, and art.

Besides the music, AFROPUNK is known for the art and the dope and creative displays of fashion! You know The Curvy Fashionista HAD to be there! So Vee Prince of VeePrince.com and I headed down to AFROPUNK to capture and experience it all!

Let’s just say I wasn’t prepared for all of what we saw! Vee for one came to slay hunny (she’s the beautiful lady we’ve been seeing posted all over social with her afro)! Not only did the women come out to slay, but the men even got in on the action too!

The atmosphere was amazing. Everyone was there for one thing (well maybe two) music and fashion. We got a few pictures and met some amazingly talented plus size beauties! Check out some of our favorites from AFROPUNK Atlanta!

This only gives you a taste of the amazingness (yep I made my own word) that is AFROPUNK! This was my first, but definitely not my last, year attending! The fashion, art, music was amazing! I got to see Solange perform, Willow brought out her mom Jada, and I was introduced to Martina McFly, a super dope DJ right here in Atlanta!

I’m already excited for next year and I’m super excited to start planning my outfits so I can get in on the fun! Make sure to check out the IG page for more photos and videos of the weekend!

Would you attend AFROPUNK? What would your costume be?
