To say that we are excited about this, is an understatement. Our blogger boo, Tanesha from Girl with Curves has teamed up with Lane Bryant for their first plus size influencer collaboration! One, that we have been wondering, would happen. And from the first look over on WWD, this plus size collaboration is a perfect match.

“For a long time, the curvy girl was left out of the conversation. I don’t think the world realized that all women, no matter what size, want to feel amazing, look amazing and we all care about some aspect of fashion.”

Slated to be released during New York Fashion Week, on September 9th, the Girl with Curves x Lane Bryant Collection is giving us a 20-piece assortment of dresses, sportswear separates, outerwear and denim designed to favor curves. Staying true to Lane Bryant’s brand, sizes range from 12 to 28 with pricing from $34.95 to $149.95.

And if you do not know, this is not Tanesha’s first foray into design! Do you remember? A few seasons (years) back, Tanesha launched her eponymous label, shop Girl with Curves, adding her signature polished touch to updated classics that we have loved here, at The Curvy Fashionista. But she also dropped a collaboration with Dia & Co, too! Did you shop that collection?

And now? Her classic, sophisticated, and polished style is coming to Lane Bryant with the help of Reunited Clothing.

“I had this idea in my mind when I was 12 years old that I was either going to be a fashion designer or I was going to move to New York right after high school and work at a magazine,” Awasthi said. “I’m an English major, I’m a writer at heart, but I’ve always loved fashion and I’m also a Pisces, so I’m super creative.”

Inspired by her laid back cool California style, Tanesha’s collaboration takes the jeans, a T-shirt and sneakers vibe up a notch with moody florals, polished trenches, and a new look at the Little Black Dress.

According to WWD, the Girl With Curves x Lane Bryant collection is “classically feminine” and “polished but practical,” with reasonably priced options to go from work to weekend.

Something that we could all use a little bit of… right?

Girl With Curves x Lane Bryant will be available Sept. 9 in Lane Bryant stores and on lanebryant.com.

And if you are in New York, Tanesha will introduce the collection at a two-day New York pop-up at 393 Broadway starting Sept. 9!

How much fun is this collaboration? We cannot wait to see the full range, the looks, and how this rocks out!

Was in Bloomingdales 59th Street flagship last week (Aug 2) and shocked to find their formerly expansive plus size department now consists of four racks of NYDJ jeans and blouses!!! WTF? Heard anything about this?
