Hey, curvy besties! Can we talk about some of the best fatphobic clapbacks ranked from our favorite celebrities? They’re necessary and extremely liberating! Why do people feel entitled to comment on our bodies? Wild, right? That is why it’s time to celebrate those who hit back with fire and finesse. Body shaming is everywhere—online trolls, unsolicited advice from strangers, and even so-called friends. But some people aren’t taking it lying down.

These epic responses to fatphobic comments are nothing short of legendary. Get ready to applaud the sass and courage of those who’ve delivered some of the best fatphobic clapbacks ranked.

1. Lizzo

Lizzo, the queen of body positivity, never misses a beat. She’s endured years of body-shaming comments, so we can’t help but love it whenever she fires back.

“Hey, so I’ve been working out consistently for the last five years, and it may come as a surprise to some of y’all that I’m not working out to have your ideal body type. I’m working out to have my ideal body type,” she said in the video. “And you know what type that is? None of your f**king business.”

2. Gabourey Sidibe

When a hater criticized her 2014 Golden Globes dress, Gabourey Sidibe clapped back with the best tweet. And BAY-BEEEE! Your haters could NEVER! Sidibe’s sass is a perfect reminder that success speaks louder than hate from “keyboard warriors.”

“To people making mean comments about my GG pics, I most definitely cried about it on that private jet on my way to my dream job last night.”

3. Chrissy Metz

At the 2017 MTV Movie & TV Awards, Chrissy Metz stunned in a red latex dress. When body-shamers came for her, she clapped back hard. That’s why it was only appropriate that she made our “Best Fatphobic Clap Backs Ranked” list.

“For the record, I wear what I want, when I want. News flash, it’s MY body. #thankstho,” Metz tweeted.

4. Sam Smith

During an interview with The Sunday Times, Sam Smith opened up about their struggle with body dysmorphia amid the constant scrutiny of public opinion. It’s tough to ignore the overwhelming negativity directed at them online.

“Every time I went to the pool, I felt self-conscious, but I forced myself to take my top off,” Smith said. “It paid off because I now have the opposite of body dysmorphia. I look fabulous. I’m finally getting a tan. I’m burnt in places I’ve never been burnt.”

5. Rihanna

This next one was hilarious! I’m not sure why people mess with Rihanna, knowing she will clap back. Another instance of infuriating and baseless pregnancy speculation arose when Rihanna faced criticism about her body after her 2018 Grammy Awards performance. Rihanna, known for her bold responses, didn’t hold back and countered her body shamers with a witty Instagram meme.

The meme humorously stated, “If you can’t handle me at my 2007 Gucci Mane, you don’t deserve me at my 2017 Gucci Mane.” This clapback not only silenced the critics but also highlighted the absurdity of judging someone’s body.

6. Barbie Ferreira

In the hit series “Euphoria,” Barbie Ferreira’s Kat Hernandez responds to a comment about our society’s lack of inclusivity, which can be highly frustrating to those who don’t fit these unrealistic standards.

“It’s not radical for me to be wearing a crop top,” the “Unpregnant” star explained. “[Comments like those are] just backhanded compliments. I’ve been doing this since I was 16. I’m 25,” told WhoWhatWear.

These five epic comebacks are the best fatphobic clapbacks ranked, showing us that standing up against body shaming is not only empowering but necessary. It’s about time we applaud those who aren’t afraid to shut down fatphobic antics with wit, confidence, and unapologetic self-love. Celebrate your body, and don’t let anyone dim your shine!
