This weekend’s TCFStyle Expo brought together two things near and dear to my heart: fashion and community. Expo sponsor 21Squared has done the same thing with their first-of-its kind shopping app that promotes body positivity and helps curate an enjoyable shopping experience. 21Squared is a peer-to-peer shopping platform dedicated to the plus size and curvy women.
The mobile app allows users to share their outfits with the community and more importantly, where they copped their look. It’s one-part shopping tool and one-part fashion mood board, one-part community, and all for the plus size woman! Users can even earn a commission when other users purchase the items they shared in their outfits.
21Squared Makes Shopping Easier
More than just a pretty app, 21Squared uses a combination of artificial intelligence and user-generated content to help users assess the fit of a garment before they even buy it. For us plus ladies who do most of our shopping online, the technology is groundbreaking. Plus, it’s just so refreshing to see someone really put thought into the plus size community.
Bringing the Art of Networking to the TCFStyle Expo
One of the many amazing events at the TCFStyle Expo was the speed networking event sponsored by 21Squared and hosted by Aquila, the queen of networking! The event helped attendees sharpen their networking skills. Now I don’t know about you, but I am a firm believer that networking can be the difference between “no thanks” and “sign here.” Attendees participated in mock networking sessions with brand reps and received on-the-spot feedback.
Throughout the event, attendees had the chance to win some serious swag and prizes, courtesy of 21Squared.
So often we forget that showing up isn’t just about how you look. It’s about the confidence we have in ourselves and how we articulate it. You can have the WHOLE shebang honey, but if you can’t talk about it, you’re missing out on potential opportunities.
