So Gain Fresh: Keeping Your Clothes In Tip-Top Shape

A week ago, I live tweeted the Grammy’s along with Gain and today I wanted to talk with you about keeping your clothes #GainFresh. Did you know that the better you take care of your clothes, the better the wear? I mean, I am sure that is a given, but did you know that what you wash with and the fabric of the clothes you buy will also impact the longevity and wear of your clothes?

See, for me, I HATE taking my clothes to the cleaners. It is an extra step of my life that honestly I cannot get to. Or rather, I choose NOT to. I would rather pop my clothes in the washer and voila. They are clean. But doing so means that what I buy must be able to stand the test of time.

When it comes to my garments, I opt for amazingly soft, durable, and treated cotton blends that are colorfast. Colorfast means that it will not fade over time. YES, there are cottons that are colorfast and they usually are a bit more in cost, but they last sooo much longer, so I feel the investment is well worth it. BUT that investment also calls for proper care.

I mean, I do dry clean the items I cannot, for the life of me chance in the dryer, but majority of my closet wares are washer friendly. For reals.

So, to make sure that my wares are cared for, I do not scrimp on the laundry detergent.

I cannot. NOTHING is worse than having your FAVORITE item ruined or stained (not including accidentally mixing a piece that bleeds- I HATE THIS MY world ENDS when this happens. Don’t act like this has not happened to you) from detergents either too harsh or not good enough. I shop too much to not care about my detergent. AND I use the liquid, NOT the powder.

I had the pleasure of testing out the new Gain Fresh, I usually rock with a competitor, but I thought why not. Especially, as they had some really cool finishes and scents! I was a little scared of the names like Apple Mango Tango or the Dreamy Desire fabric softener, but guess what?

I kind of dug it!

My clothes smell all fruity and fresh, but not obnoxiously so! Soft? Check. Clean? Check. The integrity of my clothes kept intact? DOUBLE Check.

I now do have a backup go-to with Gain when I am ready to wash the clothes!
