We’re packing our bags and heading to Philadelphia for one of the most joyful and empowering weekends of the year. Team TCF is thrilled to announce that we’ll be attending Philly FatCon 2025, happening November 1–2, 2025 at CYTO | PHL at the Cira Center in University City, Philadelphia.
Now in its third year, Philly FatCon is a convention planned for fat people, by fat people, a weekend filled with celebration, connection, movement, and community. From panels and classes to a full vendor marketplace and the beloved Philly Plus Swap, this year’s lineup promises to be the biggest and most inspiring yet.
What to Expect at Philly FatCon 2025
This year’s event brings together 25 speakers and instructors, dozens of volunteers, and a packed two-day schedule of conversation, creativity, and community building.
Highlights include:
- Keynote Speaker: Breanne Fahs, PhD,* author of Fat and Furious: Igniting Radical Fat Resistance, will lead a powerful discussion on fat activism, feminism, and self-liberation.
- Invited Speaker: Kenna Libes will take the stage Sunday before the 5th Annual Plus Swap to share The History of Fat Fashion, tracing the cultural roots and evolution of plus size style.
- Panels: Four insightful discussions: Combatting Weight Stigma, Do It Fat, Your Body Is a Temple, and Body Diversity in Literature will spark conversations around visibility, creativity, and care.
- Movement Classes: Inclusive and joyful movement sessions including Turn Up Dance, Reiki, Yoga, and Fan Veil will run throughout the weekend.
Marketplace, Swap, and Community Vibes
Saturday’s lineup includes breakfast and lunch, a bustling marketplace with 30+ vendors, and a variety of classes and panels. The fun continues that evening with the After Dark Party at World Café Live, featuring fat burlesque performances, a costume contest, and a celebration of body confidence through art and performance.
On Sunday, attendees can enjoy breakfast, explore the marketplace, and dive into fashion history before joining the 5th Annual Plus Swap, a joyful clothing exchange made just for plus-size fashion lovers.
This year’s event will also include five scholarship tickets to expand access and tons of raffle prizes, including a Big Fig sleep system, brand gift cards, and more!
