I Really Love My…. Midi Skirts

You know, sometimes when we love something, like really love something, we tend to fall into a place, whether we notice or not, to repeat or gravitate towards it over and over again. For me, its the MIDI SKIRT.

For me, next to leather details, I am IN LOVE with midi length skirts and dresses. This length is everything for me. And with this particular trend showing out for fall, I am here for all of this… ALL OF THIS. I didn’t even realize how much I love this particular trend until I started looking at my past outfit posts and a few of my favorite Gotta Have Its. LOL

What’s a Midi Skirt?

A skirt that hits in the middle of the calf. Longer than a pencil, not exactly a maxi length.

On my Fall 2013 Wishlist?

As NY Mag called out this trend for fall, I am here for it.

Midi skirts in various styles. Pencil, and a-line. Dresses and skirts. Leather midi pencil skirts, wool, and jersey. I want a variety of them.

Well, I like the fine line that Midi length pieces play, both edgy, sexy, feminine, demure, playful, sassy… basically all of these. This length can translate across a variety of occasions, moods, and personal styles! The flexibility of this skirt is one I both love and live for.

In addition, this skirt length helps me feel sharp without worrying about showing too much. A pencil feels too formal for me, but the longer length is definitely sassier, in my book.

I just made these two skirts mine:

I too love a midi! Not too short so there’s no anxiety about showing the knees, but not so long that it overwhelms an outfit.

Midi skirts are cute. However, I’m thinking about how I could wear them to work, because I’m not too much of a “shirts tucked in” kinda girl. Any other looks with midis? Thanks!

You should totally try a shirt tucked in! You may be surprised! Also try the dresses in this length!

Yes! I used to feel the same, but a tucked in top with a great belt is a fashion life changer, let me tell you.

Midi has always been my favorite length. It looks classy and sexy at the same time, and I’ve always felt midi length flatters my leg the most. I so glad this is the trend!

I too love my midi skirts and dresses. I’m a mature woman but i still past 50 but not ready to dresses in polyester, and this length keeps me on fashion point.

I like them; although I tend to think that at 5’4″, I’m too short for them. BTW, loving the SWAK skirt above BUT do you know anything about those shoes?????
