One of my favorite parts about the holidays is getting ready for all of the fabulous holiday parties. What to wear?! Unless I am rollin in dough, these events can leave quite a dent in my bank account – because I hate wearing the same dress twice. (I cannot be the only one!)
Because of this, we’ve gathered up 10 plus size holiday dresses, that worn with a cute faux fur or sequin shrug, or different jewelry – can be a completely different outfit. With so many holiday events, it can be hard to know what type of dress is appropriate for what occasion. We’ve broken it down below, so you can make sure to stand out (in a good way!) wherever you go:
Office Holiday Party
For this type of an event, make sure to keep it professional and classy. Stick with dark greens or blues, and maybe a red. Make sure that you’ll be comfortable with the neckline you choose!
Friend’s Holiday Party
This is a great spot to wear a dress that shows off your curves, and wear a dress that has a lower neckline. Make sure to arrive with a bottle of wine or a poinsettia, and take it one step further by coordinating your gift to your outfit. Layer on sparkly jewelry (like this necklace from Forever 21) to make sure you sparkle in pictures.
Your Holiday Party
Break out the metallics! For a holiday party you throw, you want to stand out a little from the crowd. Pick a fabric with shimmer or go with one that is full-on metallic. To add a tad more oomph, add a faux-fur wrap or shawl. Or, on the flip-side, wear a floor length gown that’s one color (like black or a dark green), and layer on jewelry. You’ll be able to wear the dress again and still have put together a fun holiday look.
