I love to sketch. Need to do more. If you have been following me for a while, then on Instagram you caught my drawings after my mother hooked me up with sketch pads for Christmas. So when designer Roberta shot me what she was working on, it pulled and tugged at my heartstrings. Today, I want to share with you her latest venture- Prêt-à-Template- Your Plus Size Sketch App! (along with straight size) When tech meets plus size fashion, I am intrigued. But when you add in a specific plus size fashion angle? I am all THE way HERE for it.
Not like the shopping apps or other types of tech apps you hear about, this one is quite different and only available on the iPad, but get this… can you imagine yourself playing with a plus size sketch app? Prêt-à-Template does just this, and I am so excited about the recent launch into plus sizes, providing Plus Size Templates (woman and man figure) for you to sketch, lay out patterns and colors, to bring your visions to life!
EEK! If I were an iPad toting woman, I would be all over this puppy, but alas I am team Android, and will have to wait. BUT you can DOWNLOAD the templates if you wanna draw on paper! Which is all up in my wheel house! HOWEVER, this is way too cool for school and has soooo many implications here! Can you imagine how far something like this could reach?
Think:
- Design Schools
- Design Programs
- Brands
- Bloggers like me who LOVE to sketch
- The every day fashion lover
You can learn more, download the plus size template, and more, please visit www.pretatemplate.com
By utilizing a tool like this, can you imagine the way that this could educate, expose, and entertain the industry about the plus size shopper? Could allow for us to SHOW the retailers and everyone else paying attention, what we want? LOVE this program!
Isn’t this amazing?
I am super giddy about this app. I wish I had an iPad but I would love to get the templates and print them. I used to sketch when I was younger (I think I was 8 when I started up until 16 or 17). No idea why I stopped though. I have been trying to get back into it but I suck at drawing figures. This app will certainly help me in my fashion endeavors.
Thank you for posting this, Marie.
My pleasure Autumn! Yeahhh I cannot wait to see what you create!!! 🙂
