It all started with a meme. I caught a look at this meme somewhere on FB I think or Instagram and I was going to share but wanted to know more about this artist. The artist who fashioned this plus size artwork that was to motivate and inspire. So immediately I had to dig a bit deeper to learn more about this artist, Victoria Evans, “a Canadian artist with a love of pin ups and girly things.”
So I went on a hunt, trying to learn more about her, her items, and if she sold pretty things (which she does and I am elated about this). What I learned about this artist is her skill. Homegirl can get DOWN on the sketches. I love her fuller hips and bust lines. Much appreciated! I loved the tattoos (I have one and want more).
But let me share a few I stumbled across that I ADORE!
Art Spotlight on Victoria Evans and her Plus Size Artwork
What do you think? I love the meme and the black girl with the tats? I can dig her! YES. Love it. I loved the girls hanging out being all cute in their looks. And her personal style sketches? I wonder if I could do this?
Any who. You can totally purchase her prints at Society 6, view all of her work at her site, VictoriaEvans.net, and like her on Facebook here!
To all the gorgeous plus sized ladies out there, you have to know how beautiful and sexy you are. It is very unfortunate that the fashion industry has always been so enamored with the scrawny, malnourished, waif look. Of course, the fashion industry has also been dominated by gay male designers that want all models to be flat chested and skinny so that to the gay designers, they resemble teen age boys. Women that have beautiful, feminine, sexy curves are completely gorgeous and don’t let the hateful comments make you feel otherwise. Thank-you to all the gorgeous plus sized women that make this such a wonderful planet for a male that appreciates your beauty.
