I love everything about fall, from cozy sweaters to dirty chai lattes to pulling my favorite boots out of storage, but I absolutely love swapping out my makeup wardrobe. Gone are the days of tinted moisturizer, lip tint and the โno makeupโ makeup looks of summer, fall makeup is all about going bold, highlighting to the gods, and perfect foundation.
Updating oneโs makeup wardrobe for all doesnโt mean a $500 trip to Sephora. No, so many affordable cosmetic brandsย have really been stepping up their game lately. In fact some of my new favorite fall must-haves are not only found at the drugstore but are also super affordable.
Here are Just a Few Affordable Fall Makeup Must Haves!
LโOreal Infallible Pro-Glow Foundation: A good foundation is a must for fall and I love the new dewy, glowy trend weโve seen pop-up in regards to foundation. LโOreal actually has one of the best glow inducing foundations on the market. The foundation has great coverage and gives the skin a healthy all over glow that will actually last most of the day.
Maybelline Brow Precise Fiber Volumizer: Bold brows are not going anywhere thank god and the new brow volumizer from Maybelline is going to be your secret brow weapon. I personally like to use this product after filling in my brows with a pencil or powder to give them added drama but it is also great for lazy days when you know you need something in your brows but cannot be bothered with actually filling them in.
Circa Beauty Saturated Lip Crayon: I LOVE lip crayons. They are so easy to use and almost fool-proof in application. Circa Beauty has a great line of new shades that are perfect for fall with my favorites being Defiant (a bold berry) and Magnetic (a rich red).
Wet nโ Wild Gold Bar Highlighter: Whoever said you needed to drop $30+ on a killer highlighter clearly hasnโt seen this new goldbar from Wet nโ Wild. This baby will give a blinding highlight so strong a warning should come attached when walking down the street.
COVERGIRL TruBlend Makeupย Primer: A makeup primer is a must and one of my favorites for a while now as been the Trublend Primer from COVERGIRL. The TruBlend primer has three different formulas for combo, dry or oily skin types, this way you know you are getting the perfect primer for your skin. I personally love the combo skin formula as it really keeps my makeup in place all day, better than some of the more expensive primers Iโve tried recently.
LโOreal Colour Riche La Palette Lip: I love a good lip palette, they allow you to create so many different looks by blending the different shades together, I also love berry and jewel tones for fall. When LโOreal put out their new plum lip palette, it was like reading my mind. This palette has eight lip shades so I can mix nโ match to my heartโs content. If you donโt love the berry shade family, there is also a pink and nude tone palette available.
Morphe 12Sย Palette: This palette from Morphe is everything. It has 12 pansย that range from nudes to pinks to a beautiful grey and burgundy shades. The formulas are creamy and have very little fall-out and even though is it called the Soul of Summer palette, I love these shades for fall.
Hard Candy Metallic Mousse: Metallic mattes are all the rage thanks in some part to Kylie Jenner and her metalsย lip kit, however if you donโt want to shell out the cash for one of her almost always sold-out products, then look no further than Hard Candy. The new Metallic Mousse collection is the perfect dupe for KC line and it costs about $12 less.
NYX Double Stacked Mascara: Mascara is a must-have year round, but if you and a killer mascara that is going to give you amazing looking lashes, go for this one from NYX. Now yes, $15 for a mascara is a little more than say Maybelline BUT this is a two-step mascara that gives lashes more volume and length so itโs well worth the extra money spent.
These are just a few of my favorite affordable beauty buys for fall.
