At the risk of sounding stereotypical, I have to say that for us ladies, hair is a really big deal! Whether you’re into natural styles, braids, quick weave, custom wigs, short cuts or long hair; hair is something we invest energy into! Hair maintenance can be costly and time consuming depending on how we care for our hair.
Mayvenn is now offering a service to take a bit of the work and cost down for their clients. If you’re not familiar with Mayvenn, allow me to introduce you.
Who is Mayvenn?
Mayvenn is a company that launched in 2012 with the mission to put the power of beauty product ownership into people of color communities being that these communities spend billions of dollars on these products!
For the last 8 years Mayvenn has been providing quality virgin hair bundles to their clients at a fair price. Now they’re taking it a step further by offering FREE custom made wigs as part of their service when you purchase hair directly from them. That’s right! With the choice of bundles, texture, and density, you get to choose what details you want each step of the way for your handmade, one of a kind wig.
How Does The Service Work?
The process is simple! You would make your selection of bundle(s) that you want for your custom wig. Mayvenn will then schedule your quick, ( but more importantly) SAFE salon visit for you to have your head measured and drop off the hair. Your wig would then be ready for safe pickup in approximately a week!

This free custom wig service is available nationwide! You can choose from 4 Custom Wig types using any of Mayvenn’s 8 texture options. Each service includes a wig cap, a quick and easy salon appointment to measure your head, and construction of the Custom Unit in just 1 week.

Custom wig services generally cost anywhere from $100-$135 per unit; but Mayvenn is offering this service free of charge! I would venture to say that saving money is also included in this service!
Mayvenn has also partnered with QuadPay to provide the option of 4 easy payment installments for their bundles.

I’m excited and can’t wait to try it. Thank you for sharing this important find.
It’s hard for me to purchase a wig a have a small heard and all the wigs I buy Don’t fit. So waste of my Money and wigs with the combs on the side and back are no good to me I have very little hair on my edges I have Thinning Hair. As I get older this is what happens and over the Years chemicals braiding weaving it contribute to the Factor.
You really need to provide a date with stories. When you use words like “now” or expressions such as “for the last 8 years,” I don’t have a date to orient the story. Which 8 years? As of 2021?
Thank you for the feedback, Michael!
