If you’ve ever been a bridesmaid, then you already know dress shopping for curves is no easy feat. The bridal market, in particular, is just starting to pick up on inclusive sizing. But bridal startup Birdy Grey is seeking to relieve stress for some curvy bridesmaids with its new plus size bridesmaid Collection.
For those new to the game, Birdy Grey is a Los Angeles-born bridesmaid dress brand dedicated to making bridesmaids dresses more affordable and easier on the bride’s to-do list.
When it first launched, Birdy Grey initially offered sizes for its core collection XS-XXL. Now, the brand is nabbing 20 of their bestsellers to offer them in plus sizes up to 3X.
We hope that this is just the beginning of their size extension and we see larger sizes in the future.
What’s great about this launch (and the brand) is that these dresses are derived from the core collection. In this case, bridal parties with multiple body types represented can still rock matching dresses.
Did we forget to mention all gowns on the site are $99 and come with smartphone-friendly pockets?
Yeah, girl. Us, too
Requested by customers, the Curve collection is where you can find floor-length goddess dresses of every color to complement almost any color story for your size.
Not to mention, your order is packed with complimentary safety pins, bobby pins, and double-sided tape.
Birdy and Grey explain that the first 20 dresses are only the start of the Curve collection. More dresses are slated to drop on the site up until dresses begin shipping in April. Ready to dive into this plus size bridesmaid dress collection? Here are some of our favorites so far.
Spence Convertible Dress in Cabernet
The Spence dress is super chic because you can wear it three different ways (similarly to a lot of the dresses sold on Birdy Grey). With its sweetheart neckline, the Spence dress can be worn as you see it above, without the spaghetti straps, or pull up the chiffon for a cap sleeve look.
Grace Convertible Dress in Emerald
If you thought the last dress had a lot of style options, this one does too—five ways. Named after Birdy Grey founder Grace Lee, this chiffon-made dress can be styled as a halter dress with its extra front streamers, Grecian-styled, strapless, you name it.
Gwennie Dress in Pale Blush
Blush is always a vibe for spring weddings and this one from Birdy Grey is one to keep watch for. Though this is one dress that can’t be converted, this dress is high-waisted and equipped with fully-lined bra cups to give you support.
Kiko Dress in Dusty Blue
The Kiko dress from Birdy Grey is especially great for bustier people. The dress is a Grecian halter-style dress with built-in bra cups as well. The dress is a no-fuss solution and you’re fully supported.
Jane Convertible Dress in Dark Mauve
Finally, the Jane dress made our list since it’s a classic design that can be converted into several different styles. One is the cold shoulder, another way with just the spaghetti straps and the third way as a ruffled sleeved V-neck.
