You have to give it up to Gabi over there thinking up new and inventive ways to make statements! I was away for my comp for a few hours and then BOOM…. GABIFRESH, along with plus size bloggers and personalities, Nadia Aboulhosn and Tess Munster did something AMAZING!!! They remade FLAWLESS, giving it a whole NEW meaning and I am here for ALL OF THIS.
But first, GabiFresh shares on her blog:
“I knew I wanted to do something with it, so I called up two other major players in the plus size fashion world who I know also deal with their fair share of shitty people, the gorgeous Nadia Aboulhosn and game-changer Tess Munster, and asked if they’d be interested in collaborating on a video. I wanted to show that 1) we are not competing to be the Top Dog in our niche–we are supportive of each other and are all working toward the same goal: body positivity and inclusivity. And 2) you don’t have to be a certain size to claim your flawlessness. Fat is not a flaw. This video is dedicated to the mainstream media, to the fashion industry, to internet bullies, and to anyone else who thinks it’s their right to try to make us feel less than because of their insecurities. #everyBODYisflawless”
Can we just stop and take a moment to re-read number 1 & 2 on the points she made? Did you catch that? Well… WELL! I AM HERE with you on ALL OF THAT and to say YES madame! YES!
Anywho…
Well, when you add these style bloggers and models with Beyonce (who by the way I GEEK over to the nth power) and two other fellow Virgos, and add Flawless and makeup and fashion… well, YOU GET THIS ARTISTRY:

These three ladies? They shut it down and dropped the mic.
LOVE THIS!
Soooo much!!!
I LOVE the idea behind this video. I think it would’ve been better if it was the women themselves singing it, though, because the fact that they’re lip-syncing just throws me off a little. Otherwise, this is a beautifully brilliant message that the U.S. media REALLY needs to not ONLY hear, but hear and do so much that when they see things like this, they don’t think it’s out of the ordinary.
I think I follow but by visuals alone, it looks like they are listening!
I love this!
right?!!!
I love the concept and Gabi’s styling! The ladies look fab 🙂
