After a sold-out, full-house event, the TCFStyle Brunch is back, right on time for LA Fashion Month. And this year, it feels different. Not just because the tables will be styled like fashion spreads or because the shopping will be more curated than ever… but because I’m showing up differently too.
For years, I’ve hidden behind the brand of The Curvy Fashionista, letting the platform speak louder than I allowed myself to. On my personal site, I’ve shared what a challenge it’s been to step out from behind the logo and into my own spotlight. This brunch, with its theme: Our Table. Our Taste. Our Terms., is as much a declaration for our community as it is for me: a commitment to show up fully, visibly, and unapologetically.
October 18th, during LA Fashion Month, from 11-4pm, The Curvy Fashionista is bringing back the TCFStyle Brunch, presented by Elomi, and this year it’s bigger, bolder, and unapologetically ours.
While mainstream Fashion Week continues to shrink plus size visibility, we’re doubling down on joy, fashion, and community. The TCFStyle Brunch, presented by Elomi, is where style isn’t minimized, it’s magnified. This year’s theme says it all: Our Table. Our Taste. Our Terms.
From the moment you walk in, you’ll be stepping into a scene styled like the pages of an editorial. Think runway-worthy tables, layered looks of Street, Luxe, and Iconic energy, and a room buzzing with designers, influencers, and style lovers ready to celebrate.
The day begins with our presenting sponsor, Elomi. Their signature Fit Talk sets the tone, a conversation about lingerie, confidence, and the power of fit. To help bring the message home, they are also bringing in Molly Hopkins from Livi Rae Lingerie! They’ll also bring exclusive giveaways and a fun, interactive activation inside the Style Market that you do not want to miss.
From there, we move into the heart of the brunch. Tables styled like fashion editorials become the stage for connection, conversation, and a panel hosted by Marie Denee, featuring some of LA’s most exciting plus size indie designers. Together, they’ll unpack what it means to design, create, and lead in an industry that too often overlooks their brilliance, tying directly into our theme: Our Table. Our Taste. Our Terms. Brunch fills the table, but what comes next fills the room.
After the meal, the buzz flows into the Style Market, where friends become shoppers, shoppers become performers, and style becomes a shared celebration. This is where the event transforms from intimate to electric. Big Fig Mattress, our supporting sponsor, will be on-site with a branded lounge and a luxe mattress giveaway.
The Style Market itself is shaping up to be a dream. Guests will shop directly from plus-first and size-inclusive designers and brands including Baacal, Sante Grace, byVinnik, Cherri Cheeks, LeaLeaLove Clothing, Melissa Mercedes, and more to be announced! Each brand will bring their own unique energy, giving attendees the rare chance to discover and shop them IRL.
And just when you think it can’t get more joyful, the mic drops. The Plus Bus presents Curvy Karaoke, turning the Style Market into a stage where music, laughter, and fashion collide. Add in intuitive readings by Mel of Luminary Wings, and the day becomes an experience you won’t find anywhere else during LA Fashion Month.
The TCFStyle Brunch isn’t Fashion Week as usual. It’s food, fashion, and community turned into a living, breathing love letter to plus size style. It’s proof that when the industry won’t set a place for us, we can create something bigger, louder, and more joyful.
