This is only the second time in Pantoneโs history of selecting itโs Color of The Year that they have selected two colors (the first time was for 2016โs Rose Quartz and Serenity).
How did they decide on these two colors for the 2021 color of the year?
Essentially, the two colors chosen for 2021 are to represent hopefulness and stability. PANTONE 17-5104 Ultimate Gray symbolizes solid and dependable elements, which provide a firm foundation, and PANTONE 13-0647 Illuminating is a bright and cheerful yellow, signifying the optimistic hope of brighter days ahead!
